this is the old mahogany... u can see the dark red color???

i cut it for my neck.... u can still see the dark red color even though i have cut it right ^^

and this is the finish result in natural color ^^ i didnt paint it...
see the center pc of the neck... its dark red.... he he he beautiful isnt it?

we often find this dark red mahogany color on the back body & neck on a Gibson LP
and the newer version LP get those color with covering the back with a paint...
we can check the factory tour video ^^

the center is same... my old mahogany... and the other both side... are young mahogany... see? the cream colored
both of them r good.... but... if i have to choose... ill choose the dark red one

Back to topic, I won't buy this guitar because if I wanted a strat. I'd get a Fender. If I want a les paul, I'll get a Gibson.
I can't say if this will sell or not because many people out there would feel the same way about Gibson manufacturing a "Stratocaster". Perhaps it might attract beginners and perhaps a curious crowd but it won't last as a stock production model for sure. The hype will wear out.
