*facepalm* I was trying to save him some face there dude... In case you didn't realize...
Squirrel, from the way you're acting..
You sound like..
1) one without proper morals.
6) stop being a douche and a dick.
7) seriously, I don't think you've even gotten laid before
8) I think most of us here are rather rightful minded, and only get laid after marriage, geez. fornication isn't good my friend. even with the new vaccine against HIV.
anyway.. looks like the link on the site has been pulled.
and squirrel, you do bear similar resemblance (in typing as well as your defense of Gibson) to a fellow member here who seems to have recently disappeared.
hmmmm.
@ Jordan, they were actually priced pretty cheap. From what I saw on the site i believe it was $299 usd for the "little wing" package model, and then it moves upwards for the other models..
Oh yeah and don't bother with that, I'm an officer. Welcome to Singapore.
This suddenly came to my mind that I found quite amusing. The fact that Gibson could release something costing below $500, perhaps one day there'll be a TGM costing $4K that'll also disappear due to absolute lack of sales.
Kids don't know anything according to him.
I know you're wise and old but that also means that you'll be in the ground before me. Don't you just love the karma.
@j_m_s .. yes.. gibson today ... they should thanks to Ted McCarthy ... he make Gibson bigger ... +1 to PRS
point 11 contradicts what Gibson says...
Gibson sued PRS for the singlecut shape, on the basis that someone would enter a shop and buy a PRS, thinking that it was a Gibson because of the body shape.
but now, isn't Gibson doing the same to Fender as what PRS has done to Gibson?
IF the late 60's above use a certain mahogany, then the gibson original vintage stuff is better than the VOS ..a really old mahogany... it has a dark red colored.... yes! the best mahogany has dark red colored grain .. really heavy ... from a really old tree ,,, u can imagine how big was the diameterit has a very smooth grain... i love it..
Oh yeah and don't bother with that, I'm an officer...
@whitestrat yes.. 30 years can aged the wood.. change the tone, and the water contentbut if it has a cream color.. it wont turn to red color , and it wont change the grain too..
um i think we have to prove it... if u have the original vintage gibson on that period of time... open the PU rings . shave the body under PU cavity a little by little... till it show the original grain.. 'coz the wood it self absobs the paint, so we have to shave it till the original grain shows up...
use something sharp... like razor or anything ..
This is great info... Meaning, I should go tell my builder to choose a dark red Honduran Mahogany for the guitar he's building for me... Is it stronger than the younger variety?
P.S. I sign my real name off at every post because I'm not afraid to let people know who I am. Do you at least have the balls to do that?![]()
