How many basses you have?

Use the matchstick and glue technique. Its what the guy did when i had the same problem with my ibanez bass. And speaking of straplocks, i nearly fainted when in the midst of installing straplocks into my musicman, the head of the screw wore out. Thankfully it was fixable... hehe

The straplock problem? I brought it down to the guys at guitar workshop in bras basah complex. Apparently they used another screw to burrow into the broken screw, then they extracted the broken screw using the new screw as a stand in "head". They fixed it for me as well as installed the straplocks using longer and more durable screws. Very professionally done. Kudos to them on a job well done. I'd definitely recommend them for any guitar problems. :D

The straplock problem?

how much did they charge you for everything? so when you put on straplocks, you cant take out your strap as easily anymore? what does the straplock do? lock in the strap or the screw?

The straplock is a device to enable a secure method of attaching the strap. Basically it functions like a locking mechanism in which one part is the screw button, and the other is attached to the holes of the strap. When you attach the strap onto its counterpart, you press a button and the straplock slides in and locks on, and it cannot be removed without damaging the bass unless you press that same button again. Makes it easier than having to struggle to fit the strap over the button everytime. Hope the explanation is clear. hahahaha :D

ahahha ..i got my pickguard fixed there! .. =) .. Lawrence did a fantastic job on the pickguard .. though the fit wasn't that nice as i expected and my pickguard can dry out easily .. but i still love it .. where in this world can you find a rosewood pickguard man??

hmmz .. since we are all talking bout straplocks now ..

any difference between those temporary clamp on type of straplocks and those full straplocks ? not really right ?

i feel that those full strap locks keep your strap there while the clamp on ones give you the option to remove it as and when you want it ... i prefer the clamp on ones though .. just in case my strap gets tangled or what .. can unclamp and do it .. or i want to adjust my strap height .. =)

Dude, guitar workshop charged me around $50 i think. Can't really remember the price. It wasn't that expensive. I think you can install straplocks by yourself. Save money too. Just go to davis or swee lee and buy a set of straplocks, they're actually pretty easy to install. :D

I miss the Rosti at Marche there .. goodness .. super nice .. it's pity i didn't take more mustard sauce .. i don't mind going back there again .. *hint hint* .. ahahhahaha .
