hey... ive got a problem here...
whenever i engage my zack wylde wah i get noise coming out... even when there's no signal going in... how do i get rid of the noise?

if you play on hi gain, it usually will have that hiss.

If you are talking about picking up hum from lights or a power source, that can be solved with Mumetal shielding.

some wah's have a cutoff, if they detect inputs of lower than a certain threshold, it'll cutoff all output. however, before that occurs, u'll still hear the noise coming out from the pedal.

the pedal you're using is particularly noisy =P you COULD try getting a noise gate after the pedal to reduce the disturbance, but other than that... turn off the hi-gain on your amp? (you might not like that...) mm... mod it? heh...

well don't worry, as long as you keep playing, the notes should cover up that noise very well, and sometimes there IS NO noise when you give an input of significant level, cuz the noise comes from within the pedal, trying to change signals that aren't clear (static, etC)

If you are using pedals and worried about noise then I'd pop something like a boss ns2 at the end of your chain, a really handy little gadget.

You dont say where the wah is in your chain but if you have pedals running INTO it then that sure wont help. Make sure it's the first thing your signal goes into before you start adding distortion or anything else.

The ZW wah shouldn't be any more or less noisy than any other wah pedals from my experience....
