Hi everyone, another poll, hope you don't mind... :smt112

there are some of us here who are particular about the tuning pegs (tuners)arrangement/ configuration over at the headstock. some cite convenience, others say it's all about familiarity & there are some of us who are bothered by looks. what's your preference?

thanks (in advance) for sharing

6-a-side, convenient when tuning up, straight string pull, but I use a locking nut so... convenience is my main point.

HOWEVER!

Reverse 6-a-side looks oh so much cooler.

ditto- i prefer the straight pull especially for non-locking nut guitars. 3-a-side cofiguration usually can't retain tuning that well.

prefer the 6 in a row kind. tunes better than 3 in a row imo. cause i have to bend my wrist and stretch my hand more lol.

some 3 aside are straight pull as well !!

yeah i'm the joker who prefer headless.

i like the whole headless system by steinberger even the R trem but hate the strings availability and the crap quality of the Spirit models... the one I have on hand is the paddle shaped one.

the Transtrem version with graphite neck and proper guitar shaped bodies are beyond my means and is definitely a want rather than a need.

edit: cos my head is inside out and outside in... what the hell did i type there? duuuhhhh....

In my one sided humble view, i just want to play the guitar and make some melody, not to worry about how the peg look like or arranged in which way

I'm usually stuck with the normal 6-in-line as most of my guitars had them. My upcoming custom has a reverse 6-in-line, not so for the aesthetics but for the tension compensation between the strings 8)

because of this post... i can't stop thinking about the Steinberger Synapse Transcale.

What an engineering marvel. Headless, baritone, movable built in capo, phenolic fretboard, graphite neck...

ohhhh man.

I prefer straight string pull, too. 3 or 6 a side doesn't matter. I especially the Ibanez Iceman asymmetric headstock arrangement. Beli cool!

There are vids on youtube showcasing the synapse Edder. :D

I'm contemplating on selling some gear to get the synapse.

2 vintage talmans
1 rickenbacker
1 yamaha yg1212

should suffice. hur hur hur...

heh... contemplating only. must see if the force is strong in this one....

Why would a zero technically skilless player like me who only knows how to shred paper only want a synapse? 25 marks.
