Guys I think one of the best way to learn how to improvise is to see how somebody else do it.
You know his ideas, his technique, his thinking and so on..

There are quite a number of us here in the forum who r playing the guitar right? Some of us are new ,some are veteran so why not we learn from one another.

This is how it goes, we choose a backing track in youtube and everybody need to use the same backing track n then we record ourselves improvising ,then we post at open mic at the same time we tell other fellow softies wat is the thinking process behind our improvisation

Example: In this backing track i try to apply alot of flash riff, tapping ,arpeggios and the reason is because ....

If there is a softy that is interested in our idea than we explain why and how we do it.

Please provide feedback to the suggestion thanks...........

Hi guys finally i have uploaded the video , I would really hope that more fellow softies would post their videos in here .It would be better that we all would use the same backing track because then it will be much easier for us to compare the different approach in our soloing .I would really encourage that newbie and veteran to join in so that we can learn from one another.

Ok guys this is the link to the youtube page i will also post it on open mic or should we just post it here?

Hey Firdaus!

That's a nice way of you relaying to the backtrack(relieving stress from work). But just my thought only lah....you shred all the way. Why not do some melodic movement over it and shred at certain point. From the way you play, I am sure you can create that sad melody and boost out what you are made of rather than just shredding. Your potentiality are not fully shown. I'd love to see the real guitarist in you! You definitely have that potential!! Keep it up!! You're still doing very good though!

If I have time, I'd try on that same backtrack.

Saluti!

Btw, I'm Faz aka Faz Tetra

Ok abang thanks for the constructive feedback , i think the reason why my playing is like that is bcos most of my guitar idol r fast player ,but i totally agree with u need to really have a strong melody in my playing n bro post a vid of u playing using this backing track if u have time alright....:p

alright thanks bro, guys we've seen how the veteran solo over this backing track so guys now is your turn!We are doing this so that we can learn from one another and produce better guitarist in singapore hehe........

Firdaus, have we many talented musician in Singapore. U are one of them. Gather some guys and create a band if u have not done so. But if u have join Soft Band Collective.

Anyway, some asked me if I rerecord again for the harmony. No I didn't but use Boss Super Shifter which can harmonize in a key. Distortion pedal is Beta Aivin H200 and a Digital delay. Guitar is a customized ones that I re-assemble myself and it's not Ibanez.
