Guitars for a starter below 600?

:o hi every1....been surfing the forums for some time...time for my new post!

yea....i'm starting out on electric and been using a burrowed HSS aria from my cousin... :lol:

looking for my own guitar soon......anyrecommendations for anything below 600?

dun think 600's enough for me to get a second hand mim or mij strat or tele right? i'm kinda into them..... :wink:

been thru pennisular plaza and the place beside it...i see fenders fenders and more fenders at prices a student like me would never afford.... :cry:

thinking of a squier now...perhaps this..

saw a really nice squier deluxe strat at swee lee tt day at 675...seems overpriced?

any comments or help would be appreciated :D

haha, i mean normal squiers are about $300+ right? with $675 he should be able to get a second hand MIJ fender... which he interested in.

other guitars can be foiund in Guitar 77 or luther.

guitar 77 has a nice collection of various guitars. Luther has the but u can get other guitars that are much better thana quire

yea....was thinking the same....675 for a squier seems a little unreasonable......but well....

how bout the $480 squier telecaster at luthers? looks good and a telecaster clicks with the type of music i'm with.... :oops:

hmm....considering the starter packs too.....thou i prefer to choose my own guitar + amp....haha....

looking for standard squier strats and telecasters....but can't find.... :? some1 enlighten me? haha....

hahaha...agree...squier actually not as bad as what i imagine,actually they do rock =) the quality is just getting better and better each day...my friend actually bought a made in indonesia squier and he change the pickups...phew man,really got the fender's twang kinda sound :wink:

but if u wanna go for fender jap,better go for 1st hand =)

I have one in amber sunbirst. They have them at city music.

Original price was 320 but i think they were haing a promo abnd giving 20% discount so i got it for 260. My model is the GS-80 twhich is more of a standard lespaul but there is a GS-200 that is a classic lespaul. They have it for aorund 300 or so at city music and they have one at luther.

i think htey may give it to u for 260 but u have a budget of 600 right? u shouldnt worry about the price, you might be looking towards some more known brands, if u are looking for a single cut they have a schecter omen 6 at luther for 550 w/o discount/.
