Gr3y's Vintage Modern Straat

daniel, man, do you ever just drop it. its done. its Grey's thread . if you have anything you dont like bout it, then dont click on it man. in life, its not always necessary to have your word or opinion and carry on this persistence of your point being made. not everyone agrees with one another. it was a joke!!!. its a freaking guitar community. we can say funny things and not take things to heart with brands or whatever that were religious about,. many a times there are stuff you like tht many dont. but to each his own!!. not everything needs to be taken to offense. were all in a small local forum. lets take everything with a pinch of salt man

Geez. Why do you even think its offensive?

Isn't it clear enough? Grey made his "grammar mistake" and was taken to task for it. Look at Whitestrat's explanation if you can't see it.

One thing is sure - This is not about what I like. (Dunno where you derived that point from anyway)

Make a comment like that in real life. Then try to waltz away.

I think if Gr3y had said it in real life,it would have been understood as a joke.

Lighten up dudes. Please let mr Grey continue to shed us some light on his work instead of having to grimace and come up with unnecessary explanations for his comments and "bad grammar" which is uncalled for in the first place. Now back to the thread.

Lets just forget the whole debate here!!

Do continue posting new projects. Certainly gets people's hearts racing for custom guits.
Gd stuff

Yeah I agree, his stuff are pretty inspirational and his custom works are really beyond my abilities to do so. I don't think you should stop posting your stuff Gr3y, we can't afford to waste that much WOOD and I have alot of strat bodies/necks/whatnot that's unused at home waiting for some kind of a 'revamp' to happen, seems to fail most of the time because I haven't got the money for the parts.

By the way Gr3y, did you use some kind of epoxy/wood filler to fill up the initial input jack route or is it just glued wood?

id like you to make your point clear buddy. what you mean by try to make a comment like this and waltz away?. clarify. you may wanna bite your tongue a little . take a little advice openly. cause not everyone takes to insult or self righteousness very well. including myself.

haha just lightening the mood bro... just lightening the mood....

edder wheres your mojocasters?
havent seen any progress pics from you... SHOW leh....

...Guess it's time for me to stop doing all these acts.

Hi Bro,

I appreciate your show offs. Seriously!

I personally feel a guitar with hours of personal hardwork in it deserves a dozen times more salutes than any factory fit ones regardless of price, brand and country of origin.

Keep on showing... Your courage to show the processes behind it is admirable... and your results are worthy conversation peices.

I haven't gathered the courage to that just yet, perhaps one day...

Cheers!

Obz

Bro Gr3y:

I've got full admiration for your achievement. Customizing is not an easy thing to do. To work on a guitar on your own and deriving an end product with specifications of your own can be one of the most fulfilling journeys one can take, in my honest opinion.

I salute your sharing of your work so generously in the forum and I am sure that many of us that have embarked on similiar projects (I did, with disastrous results) can learn much from the pages in your book on this aspect of the hobby.

Do share with us the processes taken to achieve your end results. Many similiar forums I've been to applaud customising work and I believe SOFT can be one that can not only support but also encourage work like yours.

Awaiting further posts and learning points from you Gr3y! :D

chanmin my mojocasters are sitting around waiting for my mojo to come back and mojofied them... currently more busy in the kitchen cooking lah! hahahaha....
