1) Are you a musician?

2) If yes, what make you a musician? If no, what make you say so

3) If you dont play geetar(since this is geetar forum..) will you still do music and why?

4) What do you think, in term of musical sense/technique, that make you stand out, eitther being a good copy cat(after all your geetar heros) or great muso, being in your own world of made believe coz you think so

5) Do you think by just playing one note on the geetar, you can capture who ever is listening and how, to get that one note?

6) Have you ever ask yourself, after copying and mastering all the licks, skill from your favourite idol, what would be the next step of your geetar journey?

7) Do you only want to play geetar and be really good at it, even if theres prolly nothing new anymore in guitardom?

8 ) Have you ever had the thought of "i can do better, but i will be nice and polite" OR "i can do better and i give it to them right in the face" when coming across someone who you think that they really cannot make it, but just want to post clips/vidz on line?

9) Was there a time, along the long road of your geetar playing days, that score you some love ones who think that you are bad in bed, but at least having a decent moment when talking bout music(note, music in general sense, not just guitar playing)

funlaughterpeaceandjoyloveandharmony
Your thrustly! Coming from the back, right at chooooo!

1) Are you a musician? - Yes

2) If yes, what make you a musician? - The ability, love and joy of creating music.

3) If you dont play geetar(since this is geetar forum..) will you still do music and why? - Probably yes, with another instrument. Music isn't about instruments. It's about obtaining a desired melody/emotion regardless of instrument used.

4) What do you think, in term of musical sense/technique, that make you stand out, either being a good copy cat(after all your geetar heros) or great muso, being in your own world of made believe coz you think so - I don't think I stand out. Have not developed an ability with an appeal strong enough that people will PAY to listen to me. But I do feel comfortable enough with my own playing to know and accept that I will never sound like anyone else, and no one else will sound like me.

5) Do you think by just playing one note on the geetar, you can capture who ever is listening and how, to get that one note? - Yes. Still trying to figure out how though...

6) Have you ever ask yourself, after copying and mastering all the licks, skill from your favourite idol, what would be the next step of your geetar journey? - Self Actualisation. Creating your own voice.

7) Do you only want to play geetar and be really good at it, even if theres prolly nothing new anymore in guitardom? - Yes. I play just for the fun of it, and for my own enjoyment.

8 ) Have you ever had the thought of "i can do better, but i will be nice and polite" OR "i can do better and i give it to them right in the face" when coming across someone who you think that they really cannot make it, but just want to post clips/vidz on line? - Yes and no. We all grow through this gunslinger phase. For me it was probably 10 years ago when I felt like it. If the poster put up his clips because he wanted comments, then that's good. Any and all comments made should be done politely and constructively. But if the post was made because he/she thought that they're the best thing since toilet paper, then they should have an awakening... Then again, There's always something to learn out there, no matter how good or bad the poster is. So it's always good these days to view everything with an open mind.

9) Was there a time, along the long road of your geetar playing days, that score you some love ones who think that you are bad in bed, but at least having a decent moment when talking bout music(note, music in general sense, not just guitar playing) - No. Everyone I've scored in the past because of music have never thought I was bad in bed... Hahahahaha... Just kidding...

10) After talking so much of gear, tone and sound. Do you think you have any good points which others can learn from or copy from? - I hope so. Otherwise what did I learn all those things in the past for?

ok, some strap on questions for all as well:

10a) So what are the points which might benefit others, do share

9a) Whats your "special move" that make love ones wanting for more, in the vein of pepsi slogan, "ask for more"

(optional question for 9), no answer is preferred openly, either i will get warning for such question or us knowing too much into your personal life)

oh, thanks whitey, for the time in writing those, appreciate it!

1) Are you a musician? I'd like to think I am but I am not and I know it.

2) If yes, what make you a musician? If no, what make you say so. 16 year olds are shredding the shite out of me and I'm having trouble remembering how to play When The Children Cry. You tell me lah.

3) If you dont play geetar(since this is geetar forum..) will you still do music and why? I'd be a DJ cos I was told that DJs are the nu rockstars.

4) What do you think, in term of musical sense/technique, that make you stand out, eitther being a good copy cat(after all your geetar heros) or great muso, being in your own world of made believe coz you think so. I am not able to answer this question but do you have the chords for Whose Your Enemy by Typewriter?

5) Do you think by just playing one note on the geetar, you can capture who ever is listening and how, to get that one note? Of course can lah... must use delay and reverb before 10 distortions with envelope filter and wahs inbetween and delay and reverb after that. One note sounds like a million!

6) Have you ever ask yourself, after copying and mastering all the licks, skill from your favourite idol, what would be the next step of your geetar journey? I am not able to answer this question too but what is the best distortion pedal that money buy?

7) Do you only want to play geetar and be really good at it, even if theres prolly nothing new anymore in guitardom? I only buy guitar, I don't play them

8 ) Have you ever had the thought of "i can do better, but i will be nice and polite" OR "i can do better and i give it to them right in the face" when coming across someone who you think that they really cannot make it, but just want to post clips/vidz on line? Where can I find those videos? You mean you can post videos online?

9) Was there a time, along the long road of your geetar playing days, that score you some love ones who think that you are bad in bed, but at least having a decent moment when talking bout music(note, music in general sense, not just guitar playing) What was your question again? 5 minutes from start to end. All those who say otherwise are Braggards.

10) After talking so much of gear, tone and sound. Do you think you have any good points which others can learn from or copy from? Uhm... drink better beer? http://www.flyingdogales.com/ they're available now in SG and in Carrefour by next week. Wonderful Pale Ale I is tellings you! Teh best of teh best!

wahh rauu, shreddy, your answer is a disappointment. Cannot cannot!

Next one who answer just wack lah, will have to youtube a vidz, with pants down and showing how to "just wack lah"!

be a man, be like edder! Show us that he is wrong for 9)

Pathin, I respect you. I shall oblige thee with long length plagiarised answer!

1) Are you a musician? YES dammit!

2) If yes, what make you a musician? If no, what make you say so Because I make music

3) If you dont play geetar(since this is geetar forum..) will you still do music and why? Yes, because of a religious reason.

4) What do you think, in term of musical sense/technique, that make you stand out, eitther being a good copy cat(after all your geetar heros) or great muso, being in your own world of made believe coz you think so I like it when people can recognise my playing just by listening... I like to be in my own world of make believe that I never copied anyone before. I just steal and adapt.

5) Do you think by just playing one note on the geetar, you can capture who ever is listening and how, to get that one note? No. but 3 notes can do it, F A D.

6) Have you ever ask yourself, after copying and mastering all the licks, skill from your favourite idol, what would be the next step of your geetar journey? Still be able to compose a song that can be played with 2 hands and an acoustic guitar?

7) Do you only want to play geetar and be really good at it, even if theres prolly nothing new anymore in guitardom? Yes because although everything I can hope to do on the guitar has been accomplished by others, I've not yet had the privilege of expressing myself in such a manner yet.

8 ) Have you ever had the thought of "i can do better, but i will be nice and polite" OR "i can do better and i give it to them right in the face" when coming across someone who you think that they really cannot make it, but just want to post clips/vidz on line? I'd be more concern about helping them improve but sometimes, you just know the fella doesn't want the advice, or he's on a different path of guitar-glory than what I'm thinking of. Then there are those who ask for it to be given in their face.....

9) Was there a time, along the long road of your geetar playing days, that score you some love ones who think that you are bad in bed, but at least having a decent moment when talking bout music(note, music in general sense, not just guitar playing) My guitar playing never won a girl's heart leh... got break some lah... but its a great thing when I meet someone who is passionate about something in life because there's the similarity there, a common ground to yak about. It can be dancing or piano - a passion is a passion.

9a) Whats your "special move" that make love ones wanting for more, in the vein of pepsi slogan, "ask for more" Play a malmsteem songs and widdly woo fasterest. Most of the time people ask for more when I'm accompanying a singer.

10) After talking so much of gear, tone and sound. Do you think you have any good points which others can learn from or copy from? Yeap. I've spend a lot of time thinking over this and that, why not and why yes, how it work and how it matters to me (the player), and so on so forth. Methinks that I can give a meaningful advice or two.

10a) So what are the points which might benefit others, do share Experience also teaches me that sharing info publicly on SOFT isn't exactly the best way to do it... pm lor... or be my fren! lolz!

1) Are you a musician?
I sure as hell hope so!

2) If yes, what make you a musician? If no, what make you say so
I enjoy making music, in fact I write whacky stuff at times to be used for the future short films I'll direct!

3) If you dont play geetar(since this is geetar forum..) will you still do music and why?
Hell yeah! It was by chance I picked up the guitar (4 clueless teenagers walked into a studio, went to an instrument, and stuck to it ever since!). Music is a great way to let out, to inspire, to innovate, and to wank.. Haha.. Technical wankery that is!

4) What do you think, in term of musical sense/technique, that make you stand out, eitther being a good copy cat(after all your geetar heros) or great muso, being in your own world of made believe coz you think so
I don't know if I should be relieved or upset, but NONE of my idols can be heard through my playing, especially my idol, Tom Morello.. We're worlds apart!

5) Do you think by just playing one note on the geetar, you can capture who ever is listening and how, to get that one note?
If you can't do that, you're not good enough! But seriously, there was this clinic FOR guitar teachers, and the second task (first to identify their guitars when blindfolded) was to make ONE note shine out.. Those who couldn't were asked, "If you cannot even play one note, how do you expect to play more?"

6) Have you ever ask yourself, after copying and mastering all the licks, skill from your favourite idol, what would be the next step of your geetar journey?
Never liked mastering licks! Tend to write my own melodies more often than not..

7) Do you only want to play geetar and be really good at it, even if theres prolly nothing new anymore in guitardom?
You don't need anything new to be inspired.. I mean, although Tom Morello discovered new techniques, I'm sure it was by chance, and that everything wasn't "new" at that time anyways! He still proceeded to develop the technique.. I'm sure I would continue to work on my PHRASING and EXPRESSION (note that I didn't mention speed!) rather than wait for something new!

8 ) Have you ever had the thought of "i can do better, but i will be nice and polite" OR "i can do better and i give it to them right in the face" when coming across someone who you think that they really cannot make it, but just want to post clips/vidz on line?
I don't look at myself before giving a comment.. Give a comment based on the video itself, not using my abilities as a gauge or some sort..

9) Was there a time, along the long road of your geetar playing days, that score you some love ones who think that you are bad in bed, but at least having a decent moment when talking bout music(note, music in general sense, not just guitar playing)
Wtf

10) After talking so much of gear, tone and sound. Do you think you have any good points which others can learn from or copy from?
Tip is to NOT copy, but expand on your own! People tell me I sound too much like my guitar teacher sometimes, hence the reason why I'll be changing teachers every few months after A's..

AHHAHA.. cool thread, alot of questions too answer, since im bored, i thought i might try this :)

1) Are you a musician? HELL YEAH!!!

2) If yes, what make you a musician? because i can hold a guitar and jump around my room thinking im a rockstar .. AHAH!

3) If you dont play geetar(since this is geetar forum..) will you still do music and why? most probably.. but i cant imagine myself playing other instruments

4) What do you think, in term of musical sense/technique, that make you stand out, eitther being a good copy cat(after all your geetar heros) or great muso, being in your own world of made believe coz you think so I like it when people can recognise my playing just by listening... haha, i just play whatever that makes me feel happy, copy or not

5) Do you think by just playing one note on the geetar, you can capture who ever is listening and how, to get that one note? erm, does the 000 on breakdowns count as a note? if it does then i think i can..

6) Have you ever ask yourself, after copying and mastering all the licks, skill from your favourite idol, what would be the next step of your geetar journey?
haha.. get a world tour, earn lots of cash, then sit back and lepak

7) Do you only want to play geetar and be really good at it, even if theres prolly nothing new anymore in guitardom? I DONT CARE.. PLAYING GUITAR MAKES ME HAPPY!!

8 ) Have you ever had the thought of "i can do better, but i will be nice and polite" OR "i can do better and i give it to them right in the face" when coming across someone who you think that they really cannot make it, but just want to post clips/vidz on line? i think i would just give constructive comments, nothing personal type

9) Was there a time, along the long road of your geetar playing days, that score you some love ones who think that you are bad in bed, but at least having a decent moment when talking bout music(note, music in general sense, not just guitar playing) my guitar lifestyle and my normal lifestyle like never clash leh..

9a) Whats your "special move" that make love ones wanting for more, in the vein of pepsi slogan, "ask for more" ???

10) After talking so much of gear, tone and sound. Do you think you have any good points which others can learn from or copy from? HAHA.. hell no.. everyone has their own preference, what might work for some might not work for others, if i were to help, i would most probably ask them what type of music are they into and guide them to the correct gear :)

10a) So what are the points which might benefit others,
Point 1: always practice and stop complaining about what gear u have.. unless its a really really crappy halfbroken guitar..
Point 2: Never step into the world of pedals if u have no money.. gas will just burn ur pocket right through
Point 3: HOLDING A GUITAR THAT UR GUITAR HEROES USE DOESNT MAKE U SOUND LIKE THEM!!!!
Point 4: If ur in a band, keep an open mind, dont be so stubborn and keep wanting things to go ur way, listen to what ur bands members have to say.. most band conflicts are caused cause of band politics
Point 5: Its always cheaper to buy stuff on soft :)
Point 6: Dont criticise genres!! seriously.. if u cant stand other genres just leave them alone..
Point 7: Dont keep spending time trying to sound like ur guitar heroes and start practicing instead

1) Are you a musician?

YEAH man woohoo!

2) If yes, what make you a musician? If no, what make you say so

Because i know whats a G chord! its something that goes, treeennngggg, right?

3) If you dont play geetar(since this is geetar forum..) will you still do music and why?

yeah im sure i would. cause maybe it runs in the family.

4) What do you think, in term of musical sense/technique, that make you stand out, eitther being a good copy cat(after all your geetar heros) or great muso, being in your own world of made believe coz you think so

i make the bluesiest, lovey doveyest of songs into metal. hahaha. coz i rork!! actually i dont understand this question. so...yeah.

5) Do you think by just playing one note on the geetar, you can capture who ever is listening and how, to get that one note?

of course! get the volume sky high! if i dont capture the listener(it isnt specified whether positvely or negatively), then i pity the listener

6) Have you ever ask yourself, after copying and mastering all the licks, skill from your favourite idol, what would be the next step of your geetar journey?

make my own licks and solos to be remembered and copied by others, just like i would copy people who inspired me.

7) Do you only want to play geetar and be really good at it, even if theres prolly nothing new anymore in guitardom?

invent a new effect? i wonder....

8 ) Have you ever had the thought of "i can do better, but i will be nice and polite" OR "i can do better and i give it to them right in the face" when coming across someone who you think that they really cannot make it, but just want to post clips/vidz on line?

that depends on the moral of the person and his objective. if he just post for fun, showing that he knows he sucks but is egoistic, the i'll be nice and polite. if he sucks and he doesnt know and refuse to admit it, then.......

9) Was there a time, along the long road of your geetar playing days, that score you some love ones who think that you are bad in bed, but at least having a decent moment when talking bout music(note, music in general sense, not just guitar playing)

not in guitaring, but singing and musical influences. haha.

10) After talking so much of gear, tone and sound. Do you think you have any good points which others can learn from or copy from?

im still learning myself. but hey, dont care when others tell u that u cant make it, cant do it. if u want it, go for it. make a tgm sound like a gibson, not the other way round.

babai.

Boxers or Briefs???

we shall meet and i can show you while you will definitely remember question 9a), the part bout pepsi slogan..."ask for more"

ahh shreddy, i like your 10a) answer! heres more questions for you and for the rest

11) Can you tell a story/share a moment in life/invoke the ost of different group of people life with just your guitar? You can use anything related to guitars(vibrators, effect, electric fan, paper clips, trem spring etc), but no backing music, no words and no other musicians etc? If yes, how will you do it(best to have example) If no, can you think of how you can achieve that?

*the above can be answered in serious way and at the same time, non serious manner, but you better make sure it will bring smile or at least a "wtf is he/she smoking" when coming up with an answer. If you think you cant, then be prepared for more questions!

12) Are you such a serious person that other then nobody, you dont allow any jokes on yourself and your music? If so, why?

13) Do you think theres other form of music or at least playing geetar with different style of music that you will be interested in trying? If yes, what sort of stuff? If not, do you think you are boring in sex?

14) If music is life like what used to be mentioned with tower records, do you think you are too naive? If yes, why, if not, tell us more

15) If theres one area of geetar playing that you want to improve in, what would be it?

*Sorry folks, any form of answers, related to techniques(any, and i really do mean ANY!!!), touching the soul, inspiring others, in the name of god, wanna be happy etc are not allowed, if you still wanna put that, admit it that you are boring and proceed to give up geetars and choose staring into blank space as the untimate aim/goal in life, from this moment onwards

EH!!! You think you Jimmy Kimmel ah!!!!!:mrgreen::p;)

11) Can you tell a story/share a moment in life/invoke the ost of different group of people life with just your guitar? You can use anything related to guitars(vibrators, effect, electric fan, paper clips, trem spring etc), but no backing music, no words and no other musicians etc? If yes, how will you do it? - Simi si ost???

12) Are you such a serious person that other then nobody, you dont allow any jokes on yourself and your music? If so, why? - No. And don't ask why.

13) Do you think theres other form of music or at least playing geetar with different style of music that you will be interested in trying? If yes, what sort of stuff? If not, do you think you are boring in sex? - Yes. I want to try playing ethic music with guitars... Like what Jeff Beck did with "Nadia". Scary shit...

14) If music is life like what used to be mentioned with tower records, do you think you are too naive? If yes, why, if not, tell us more - huh? wtf you talking?

15) If theres one area of geetar playing that you want to improve in, what would be it? - Keeping in time, and the ability to use modes effectively.

heh, thanks bro! Next time i say we gather few of the bro bros here and we sit in circle, looking at one another, taking our time to share the answer to 9) ! Nice right!

oh, ost - original soundtrack

iam a ching cheong chinese man, i is no watch jimmy kimmel or most angmo shows, unless is got sub titles! I is chinese, chinese is me

More, more and more!!

16) If after going thru this thread and you dont feel like answering these questions, why? Do you think iam really not serious? or that just poking fun. If it seem like poking fun at people, do you think i have typed too much?

17) When was the last time that you want to give up playing and what happen then.

18 ) How do you get out from being brain dead to making sweet love and music( yes, i do mean the sweet love part).

* Do not give any "i leave the instrument alone and do nothing musically for months" , " i do other things" etc kin d of answer. If might make people really think that you are boring in bed, boring in guitar and create boring music*

19) Do you learn a lot more from reading, searching gear forums(local or foreign) or asking around without searching or reading? If you dont read or search much, is it because you are not aware of the function or couldnt be bothered or just plain dumb?

20) can enough be enough, in this thread? If yes, why, if not, how come?
