looks exclusive but personally, the stars fretboard markers & body inlay is a big turn-off...

the music that marty does with aikawa nanase these days is a big turn-off to me as well.... :P

i guess the stars are an acquired taste. richie sambora also had star inlays in his Fender Am Signatures.

Seriously, it looks like a scale down version of a killer axe. It only has a volume knob. The Marty I admire uses a killer SZ with 3 knobs... no stars and an aweful lots of tone all beef up in a hard rock attitude...

I wonder what kind of pickups those duncans are and is it able to produce the sound marty friedman is famous for? Would wanna hear it... any clip?

At least the signature looks good... hehe

The single volume control is for tone connoisseurs who want their pickup going straight to the amp without being sullied by a tone knob, which ironically sucks the tonal purity of the pickup.

pertaining to this matter, Fender had it sorted out with their Delta Tone system- once the tone knob is maxed out, the circuit goes into bypass, so effectively no tone control.

And that delta tone system is available @ Davis for something like $15.

Very VERY useful and under-rated mod. Does not deface your instrument in anyway.

Lavaman, ugh.... I need some cables. :)
