Ahh. I almost got that unit once. Problem was that the shop somehow lost the adaptor and I couldn't try it out. Not that I was going to end up getting one anyway. It's freaking HUGE and HEAVY. You need a lot of pedalboard real estate to fit that mofo.

But it has nice specs. 2 12AX7's for preamp distortion and 1 12AX7 run at 0.5 watts to simulate power amp distortion = authentic cranked tube distortion at controllable volume. You can't use it like a head to drive cabinets though, otherwise it would've made a nice pedal replacement for a tube head.

And there's always this:

(Sorry for the huge pic.)

6.5hours of recording/playback, that's provided you put in a 2GB CompactFlash card into the Digitech JamMan. Anyway, 6.5hours is really overkill... do we really need that?

Function-wise, in the looper arena, nothing can beat this:

Having the ability to record, loop, play, stop, select different layers/tracks is more important. More hands-free control is a better design than just high recording capacity.

if you are too lazy to play and want the pedal to do the job for you.

how much?

I got no idea on the price. The RC-20XL Phrase Recorder (BOSS Twin Pedals series) already cost more than S$500, this bigger brother should be quite expensive.

btw, the RC-20XL is this:

However, these loopers are really for 'live' performances. For bedroom musicians, just use software to record your phrases/rhythm guitar tracks and playback to do your solos. e.g. N-track is a great tool:

http://www.n-track.com/

The eval version of N-track is good enough for the job.
just record your rhythm track (e.g. 12-bar blues in E)
copy & paste & copy & paste the recorded phrase into a long track
playback
solo over it
happy
zero cost
(assuming you already have a PC with sound card, speakers and "mic in" or "line in" point for suitable guitar effects to plug in)
super satisfied :D

No need to buy expensive loopers just to do solos over recorded rhythm tracks.

I'm with sqoobs on this....

Aside..
I started with N-track. :)
I have some of my old stuff around too... while the quality is really early 1980s at best, it was good enough and I had great fun + many hours on that piece of software.
