Tone quite subjective lah but if I A/B with my Ibanez 7 String w/EMG 707 against my Lester w/EMG 85, I would say that I get a darker thicker tone on my Studio. (707 suppose to be like the 7 string version of 85) When performing I actually need to turn up my High/Presence more so I dun sound too muddy on stage.

Playbility wise, like all Les Paul upper fret access a bit hard to reach lah unless you have big hands. Fret wise, its medium size not 6105 so you will be feeling the fretboard alot more :) As for the neck its a 50's neck so its fairly thick, good for chording, my hands get tired pretty quick using my Ibanez, too thin...
You will find it slightly harder to bend on a Les Paul if you are using thick strings, more string resistance cuz of the fix bridge. (On a FR bridge, its gonna move slightly if you are bending ur string thus making it slightly easier to bend.)

However if you prefer thinner neck you can actually choose if you wan the 50's or 60's neck if you are buying the Standard and Classic is strictly 60's neck only.

Hope this is helpful :)

Duncan Tweak Fuzz

i was actually trying to avoid buying any more fenders (in the mean time) but the above 70s re-issue was too good to pass... 8)

i'm currently employing the Tweak Fuzz as a booster. i'm not a big Fuzz fan, especially after trying BOSS' Hyper Fuzz which was way back in the 90s- fuzz is somewhat (to me) more suitable for psychedelic music, which isn't my cup of tea. nevertheless, the TF can be employed in sparing levels to further enhance amp overdrive. at certain settings, it's actually an extension of what my Tubescreamer can do. anyway, the TF is strictly for use with my Ibanez Valbee, it doesn't sound as appealing with my Peavey XXL.

The Tweak Fuzz is interesting indeed! But its quite mild for some more fuzzy users. :P

I would think of the Tweak Fuzz as a fuzz circuit into a Varitone notch filter.

Sub, if you like the way the notch filter works with your tone but don't really care for the fuzz, consider this:

Grab a Varitone (from say, www.has-sound.com) and put it into a pedal enclosure, you should get similiar results (though the caps on the TF would be specially selected methinks) without the fuzz.

when Duncan & Blues Saraceno teamed up to conceive the TF, it was meant to be used in conjunction with an amp that is already driven, hence the restrained setting from the pedal. if you intend to get a pedal as a primary fuzz source, choose others which are more intense eg: EH Big Muff

thanks for the suggestion buddy! most of the time i'm with the XXL- no pedals necessary. i employ pedals as they are 8)

wat u mean the trem post ??

i wipe the bri always .. after playing.

the paint is sorta coming off man . like sorta .. melting kinda look.ha

trem post- the shaft that acts as a pivot point for floating bridges. one on each side- treble side/ bass side. it's the shaft that you adjust for your string action. yours look rusty (the bass-side one).

you bought this guitar before 2005?

oo . the two nuts ah.. okok .. yea.. kinda rusty

got it 2nd hand . haha.

why ? batch difference? enlighten me GURU !
