First case of Lowballers

I feel that lowballing is just like how I try for every damned lucky draw I can get my hands on. So far I've won a free t-shirt from the Singapore Bird Park(I was 9 years old back then), a free pass to watch Electrico live at Butterfactory(maybe I didn't need the pass to get into butterfactory huh), and a pair of free tickets to watch Funeral for a Friend. Sometimes people just get lucky, so no harm trying.

the thing is, it works both ways, you as a seller, should quote the price, in the ad, so at least there is a price to be met, not "pm to quote" basis. because, lets say if the person doesn't know the market value of the take for example a cymbal, which is very likely, we don't wanna be accused of being a lowballer, when we quote low prices deemed to the seller, because in actual fact, we don't know how much u are looking for, for it. and, then when we quote too high, they take advantage of us.

at least he got 200 to spend on ts guitar..
just check my pm & this is what i got ' 70 bucks for ur TGM guitar '

It happen everywhere...even in the business world...so just ignore all those offers...

If you responded to it by feeling uneasy
means you are affected by it
which is no good

just ignore those call or sms completely
usually i cannot even be bother to feel irritated by it
my purpose is to sell at the price close to what i want......not to entertain those "risk taker" or "low ballers" whatever you people call them..

So why waste time responding and getting irritated to those people....sincere buyers are waiting..hahaha

lol, its hilarious, he's rude la but no need to flame him. i wouldnt be bothered by someone like him. quite pathetic hahahahhahahahaha

I don't understand why you ahve to create a thread on SOFT and whine to everyone about it TS. It happens all the time to almost everyone. So get over it and i suggest you don't waste valuable bandwidth of the forum. Hope you get it sold off at a proce you're happy with.

Cheers

yeah bro rather than get pissed off reply test saying - $200 gets you the tuners & bridge only (etc etc) ... with a smiley face too ....

Referring to Anirudh's post, I don't know what is up with people who keep saying 'Stop wasting bandwidth'.

tim098, I took out the donation thing because it is not legally correct to ask for donation without a permit.

To be honest, I have lowballed once or twice.

But personally, I don't see whats the big deal? Lowballing is to me a method of negotiation. Like a means to an end.

From my pov, I don't expect to deal at the initial price I quoted. The best case scenario I am hoping for is for me and the seller to do some collective bargaining thereafter to reach a mutually satisfactory price for the both of us.

Worst case of course is to be ignored or getting flamed on threads like the one started by the TS.

But imho, flaming lowballers on forums represents a new low of intolerance. What next you want to send death threats to them or beat them up? Don't like it don't reply. Simple as that.

The economy is as bad as hell anyhow. Lowballers are here to stay

Not sure whether my opinion represents the so-called lowballing cheapo community but that's how I feel.
