hey there peeps,
since this is a thread about buyers/sellers and all, thought maybe i'd ask all your advice on a transaction which i made.
recently i sold a piece of guitar equipment to a buyer. before selling of course, i tested it all and it was good to go. it was a relatively aging piece of equipment and i did make my point clear that it was old, but was in good condition.
the buyer then agreed and came down to view it. we did not have a means of testing the piece of hardware as i didn't have a guitar already and the buyer didn't bring his. he kept insisting that i didn't have a manual to that equipment (when i clearly took a picture of the full package without manual) and didn't want to buy it, so i told him that it's really his call, cos it's his money afterall and i didn't want to sell him something he didn't really want. so i told him that it'll be better for him to look somewhere else as i had other buyers waiting on the list. after some consideration, he finally took the equipment. after that i told him that i'll try to get him an online manual but no promises still.
3 days into the sale, he msges me and tells me that the equipment is really what he wants and all and that he's really happy with it. so naturally i'm happy that he got what he wanted. i thought that was the end of it.
a week into the sale, he msgs me and tells me this is not working and that is not working and insists that i refund him his money and take back the set.
i need your opinions on this, what do you think i should do as a considerate seller? i've never had my reputation marred by a sale before and i don't intend to make an enemy out of this person, but then again, i've never met a buyer like that before. so please do tell me what i should do. Thanks!
