ESP guitars...

i kinda had a bad experience with davis too when i went there to buy my LTD.

i asked if i could try the explorer, and the shop uncle picked the guitar up and strummed away, and i had to chance to try it out.

my dad had to tell him i wanted to try the guitar and then he passed it to me, albeit with a hesitant look on his face.

davis guitar owner, the uncle, has a very f**ked up attitude i tell u. he thinks his shop sells the most tip top guitars. and there we another loser guitar shop.. 'DAN's GUITAR'. i hate that shop i tell u. Custom made guitar.. watever crap man.. and mostly the custom made guitar are expensive not that are nice to play with.

another one of those flaming threads :rolls:

i wonder how many who say stuff here will actually have the balls to tell the uncle Davis in his face.

I didn't know that you have to flash a credit card to have good service at Davis... I only know when I'm all smiles, I'm polite and I play their instruments with care = they reciprocate with great service.

I'm giving advice to the general population who don't know how to do that, being nice (or just faking it) does not come naturally to most people.

Personally I have never gotten bad service at Davis before. There were a couple of really embarassing situations (no thanks to smart alec friends), but never any bad service.

Can't say the same about a certain other shop in Bras Basah though...

my a friend of mine USED to like the aunty. hahah. joke.

AUNTIE? she's not an auntie what.

i sent my guitar for repair once there cos it was early in the morning and it was great. the guy even told me he had free time so he set up my guitar for me with no extra charge. and he didnt lie. when i stepped into the shop he was adjusting the intonation.

so i've always had a good impression abt the staff. especially u know who. kekeke.

anyway isnt this thread supposed to be abt esp guitars?!?!

IMO this thread should be changed to "the girl at Davis" or sth like that lol. Imagine if she's reading this haha xD. I bought my axe from Davis also. In mint condition, everything was nice, except that 1mm deep tiny dent behind the guitar (which nobody notices anyway), I didn't really mind it. I like Davis because it's the only store here that has BCRich haha

I wouldn't be surprised if she is reading this thread. She has a SOFT account after all...

for all the complaints about davis and their no-touch policy, i have to add that their prices for esp guitars are one of the cheapeast everywhere.

i went to japan's custom shop and the prices were about 1.5x that of Singapore even though it was mij. ditto for online usa-based music stores.

i didnt have any issues when i got my kh with them though. in fact, it was david himself who took the guitar out for me to test with a pick and all.

if you are really serious about the guitar, do let him know that and im sure he will be happier to oblige

NOT TRUE. TOTALLY NOT TRUE MAN. i got my alexi laiho look-alike custom shopped and it costs 1.9k+ without hardcase. but if u wanna get a edwards there its 1.5-1.8k depending on which model u getting. and they kinda have much better worksmanship, and i've seen guitars in Davis chipped D:

that old uncle pukes me out man.
While i was trying out a classical guitar worth $70, he snatched it away from me and put it back on the stand.
i'm freaking frustrated after he did that and left the shop at no time at all.
He could say excuse-me or something..
Thats only a $70 guitar, worry of me dropping it? fck off yeah.
please pay some respect to your customers old uncle.
continue the story.. we came back later and deal with a chinese salesman in mid 20's.His service is much more better.
in sg service is very important. who agrees?raise up your hands.
