Dream Theater Strange DejaVu Cover

Yo Nick! hey there, i jus listened to you cover, and this is jus my few cents worth of opinion. and hopefully some advice and tips that u can take note of. :) your overture cover was good and decent. but i tot it could be tighter. in terms of your notes. for eg. the riff tht petrucci will be playing after the first chordal part. to make life easier, from the 00:57 sec onwards, the riff gotta to lock down with the drums. and your solos, prolly u can make it SING out even more. like how a singer would emphasize certain feel in a song, Dynamics is the word. the notes that u play are certainly correct. but i feel that prolly you can work more on ur bending? as in bending into pitch. the strange de ja vu was pretty not bad. and i enjoyed it. but again i think the timing and the dynamics of ur notes can be worked on more! but bro, i have to say, my hats off for u man. its a good cover. and it can be better. keep up the effort and ROCK ON!

P.S: Again its jus my few cent worth of tots, heez, no pun intended. just wanted to share. you have the potential to be great.

hey Nomis , thanks for the comment and great advice bro =). Saw ur cover too , awesome job.

yeah Dynamics are my main concern. Trying to work on it now. Thanks again =)

Try to play with a minus1 instead, I mean minus the guitar and work on there.
Copying John is not that simple. If you can't play like him dont be down, just be yourself and just keep up the timing, that's more important.
