there are actually many tubescreamer manifestations, there are fanatics out there who swears by the 808 which allegedly has that sweet, spongey midrange...

PS: the original 808 commands a hefty price tag (up to USD$350), the hype being the driving factor more than anything else...

erm..cuz TS7 is cheaper over TS9? cuz i want it to boost my GDI up...so i hear TS is a good chioce...so many i will give it a try on it..=D

the TS7 has a HOT mode, giving me more drive upon activation, retaining that smooth midrange at the same time, unlike the Turbo TS9 (turbo doesn't equal more drive). the TS7 is the least vintage sounding in my TS collection, best used with high output humbuckers but not exclusively.

ts7 itself is a OD pedal so what do you mean by using a ts7 alone without using OD pedals? You want to use 1 can, use 2 also can, even 10 also can :twisted: just depends how much gain you wanna stack up.
