Do Bassists get the girls?n worst things said by non-bassist

Very true. I've yet to learn from him. Just a question...what kind of bass do you guys play? 4 string? 5 string? 6 string? or even some unique 8 or 12 string? I've read on the net that some bassist are rather insane...play really unique and expensive basses. I'm quite blown away by Victor Wooten. Just a 4 string bass and he can play such awesome stuff.

1. We finger better
2. We are no nonsense we just go straight down low and get in the groove
3. We are stable
4. We last longer
5. We take things slow and steady
6. We have the right muscles in the right places from carrying heavy basses

Bassically Bass players are the best and yeah bass players get the girls, you just have to play it cool.

I remember reading this about one of the prerequisites to being a bassist:

"forget about getting chicks and get used to being in the dark, cos the spotlight will never be on you and the groupies only ever sleep with the singers and geetardists....."

I've kinda bucked the norm, being a backing vocalist, therefore sharing the limelight with my singer.........but no, I still don't get any chicks.

I suppose it's true that we're a thankless bunch. :lol:
