Distortion pedal don't sound good in studio (bigger amps)?

Wrong. Any pedal that doesn't sound the way you think it should is beginner level.

just try using other "big" amps at loud settings. compare and contrast.

I find that the Behringer V-tone amps have the same problem as the Line 6 ones.. :???:
So try it on a less digital sounding large amp.. Solid state ones will do, tube even better.. Hybrid I'm not so sure.. Have never encountered a good hybrid amp before.. Lol..

They build the amp so that u can get simulations of dif tube amps tone in its preamp section, instead of using pedals on top of it. So in that case, just use the amp's drive cuz its pretty nice too in a certain way. Better than how most pedals will react to it.

Yes but i though we can use pedal to crank a real tube amp too? If yes, then what kind of simulations is that?

Anyway i see alot of ppl suggesting to use the amp's dirt channel itself, that will also mean either the jamming studio is kind enuff to let you use the footswitch for the amp or you've gotta press the buttons while playing. 1 last thing, i find the control on the line6 terribly complicated. 1 pot can roll different effects and stuff like that with intensity control! If you can't turn a knob slow and steady, it's hard to get even a correct effect up. Or maybe it's just me..

haha, the thing is we are so hard to please. Give a crappy amp, we complain, give a gd simulator amp which can simulate tube amps, we also complain its not gd enuf. I guess the amp got alot of choices of dif tube amps, and the thing is they got presets of blues breaker type of breakup to a pushed hotrodded marshall amp to blistering hi gain. 10 yrs ago, we dun even have all these things, now we got decent simulation then we want even more, 1 step at a time... N if they can make SS react n sound identical to tube amp, then no one will go tube alr. I guess if we work the amp the way it was built for then u can get a gd playing tone with it

But i do agree with the footswitch tho.

Make do with wat we have or wat the jamming studio have, if dun like then dun go lor... I do like the tone blaster tho.

Adopt my approach. Go for places where they use simple amplifiers, because these take pedals well. I recommend Stone Jamz. Excellent equipment, and very large rooms. Can really jump around. The amplifiers there are Ibanez Toneblaster 100H half-stacks, which take pedals exceptionally well as I have discovered.

Or if you wanna continue going to that studio, use the amplifier's onboard tones and effects. Saves you the trouble of bringing pedals around and saves time in setting up your rig.

well...i just came back from Lcube and i tried running through the marshall....it does sound a lot better haha

yea thing is we're kinda preparing to play a gig there....so using the built-in effects ain't too friendly for live playing

Both Toneblaster and Toneblaster X takes pedals well, which is what I like them for. Great cleans. But the Toneblaster (not the X) has one of the crappiest driven voicing I've ever heard.

Bring your cube30x for recording then!
With proper mic-up and some overdub/layering you may achieve what you want....
