thanx alot!

The X2N is uber hi gain and VERY crisp + clear. It translates your guitar's tonal attributes well... as in, you got a Les Paul, the X2N's tone will be thick, heavy and crushing. Basswood RG? It will be bright and very punchy.

There was a review thread on this... posted on SOFT.

In anycase, go to my site, http://music.download.com/Shredcows and download X2N showcase.

If you wish to know more, just PM me your number or something, easier to talk that way.

A big +1 on that. It handles high-gain extremely well, more for metal. That's why Dime used a Bill Lawrence blade-type for his over-the-top sounds. Almost similar to the X2N.

However the cleans are not as good, it's rather lacking in bass, I feel. There's a sterile feeling I get when playing clean, and a little ear-piercing.

One note, DO NOT SCREW THE PICKUP TOO HIGH, as this is a very 'hot' pickup, almost hotter than the EMG's i believe.

Although I do have to state, mine is an ESP-produced blade humbucker similar to the X2N.

hey thanx alot boone!

im more confident to get it now!

by the way, do u hv any place to recommend where i can trust to do a gd job on installing them?

and if i can see them throughout the whole process?

thanx alot!

Don't forget shredcow too!
Maybe Guitar Connection down at Excelsior Hotel basement, just a few steps away from Davis. Actually most shops at the basement do pup swapping, depends on how much they want to charge. Go and check them out.
