Danelectro Cool Cat Pedals

i think i just got the last piece of the cool cat fuzz from davis. or at least from the showcase. indeed it's quite a pedal. i love it. especially when it cleans up really nicely with a single coil guitar.

Haha I got a metal pedal... Kinda interesting... It's my first pedal... Haha currently using a digitech death metal...

Haha, I got it this afternoon also. I gave them a call in early afternoon. When they said there is stock, I went down immediately. The Fuzz and the transparent overdrive are the most sought after Dano pedals here imo. Went out of stock real fast. :p

ok, i got mine yesterday. didn't get to try it till this morning. haha... i have the TOD for sale for awhile, but i am withdrawing the sale. it's definitely a pedal to keep... sold the drive, trem and vibe awhile ago.

they are great pedals, the switch is quite hard indeed.

1 thing i found out was when using in-ear monitors, i heard a slight spacy squish type noise when switching them on/off. but no noticeable in live settings...

Hey hey i am thinking of geting coolcat distortion and tod or Drive. whats the difference between Tod and Drive i've heard it from their site but din find quite much diff lol.

the Cool Cat Transparent OD helps my daughter sleep better...

The danelectro transparent od responses well when boosted in my Triamp MKII. Cheap and it works wonders.......though the pedal design looks disgusting but who cares as long it sound goods and do its job... :)

the ouline of these pedals aren't appealing- they look lost in between the vintage & contemporary zones... however, we'd do well not to judge anything by virtue of looks... 8-)

Hey,do you guys know if Cool Cats pedals go well with Teles? The uncle at Davis told me when i bought my distortion that the distortion dusn't go well with single coil pickups, will go better with humbucking pickups.I'm getting a Tele,so....

Well if u have a single coil size humbucker in ur tele, no issue. But I'm sure u can use distortion with a regular tele, just don't overdo the settings :)

humbuckers have more punch and fullness, single coils have more bite, sizzle and clarity. Depends on what kinda sound you'r going for - there is no universal right or wrong but its what you feel best suits you in terms of tone - you gotta know what you really want.

Back to topic, I had the coolcat TO for awhile and it was really nice - I love the slight breakup tones i could get from it. Just dint like the cheap looks and construction and the way the knobs were aligned, it was an affair for disaster as I kept having to trial and error trying to dial in settings as I kept forgetting which way the knobs were supposed to go...left is more or was it right? bummer :)

the Cool Cat was designed to resemble the FAB series as a reminder that they are actually the revised replacements.
