ahhh, you rocksss, bro! Coz you have singer oil! I respect those with singer oil!

Anyway, if really do get those oil can delay, we can have a shoot out of different oil

Ripper, good for you then that nothing bad happened... for now.

Its pretty clear why WD40 is not recommended because it leaves an oily residue which gets more gunk stuck in it - so I don't see the point of your sarcasm.

Shredcow, have you got a problem with any other's person recommendations? Why must you always deny others' humble suggestions?

Rather then pointing out whats wrong, I think its better for you to raise your own and allow the threadstarter to decide. Dont go around police-ing others contributions in the forum. There's always a better way to clock posts - say something nice instead. I realised that you like to reject someone's idea without trying the method yourself. Have you ever use WD40? Do you know the proper way to apply WD40? I have been using WD40 for more than 12 years and work fine with them, hi-fi, videos, motorcycles etc. I execute my application in a proper manner.

O/T here: On the other thread about pickups for RG550, do you own a RG550 and also play it with a Dimarzio Super3? Good if you do. If you dont, then make suggestion from your own experience. Do not keep referring other's experience. Referring other's experience wont make you a more credible contributor here. Thats not contributing. Thats plagiarizing.

I always believe in making more friends here in cyberspace. I have made many. You are one that I shun.

we need more fun laughter in gear forum

bro ripp bro, let lepak lepak a bit mah. Shreddy perhaps just worried for some who read internet gear forum to seek answer in life to really use the right wd40 in wrong place and causing some problem mah.

anyway, just wondering, since those contact spray also got sell oil based type, will it be a better choice over wd40? As in if we are looking at contact cleaning, not lubricating purposes

That has got to be the biggest wah pedal ever!!!!! No way you're gonna miss the floor pedal on that one. If I were you, I'd turn that into an entire pedal board. And there's room for a pedal steel on top too. How much???

I fail to see your point. You recommended, I recommended.

"Deny"? What a strange word to use. You're "denying" all the other suggestions to not use WD40.

You're right. There was something WRONG in your suggestions.

Let me ask you, if you think something was about to be done in the WRONG way - well, uh, back off lah? Don't "police". Don't say its WRONG, instead, just say "something nice" and "allow the threadstarter to decide".

Again, I fail to see your point.

Have I used WD40 for "12 years" with electronics? No. Have I used it before? Yes. But I wouldn't use it again because of the advice of experienced guitar techs, because of the abundant information pointing out how things COULD go wrong in the long run.

By the way, have you taken into account that the threadstarter might not have "more than 12 years" working with electronics like you? Have you presented the "proper manner" of applying WD40 so that others would also see that WD40, in your experience, is perfectly fine?

P.S. Did you see the OTHER POSTS against the application of WD40?

Out of topic? Discuss in the proper thread then.

I have no idea why you "shun" me. I recall a certain very angry post of your's in my Angry Dick thread... no idea why you wanted to post that and shoot yourself in the foot. *shrugs* Be that way then.
