Clarification for keeping long hair in poly XD

Some of my poly students sport long hair, I've never asked them why because it's their choice as long as it does not infringe any regulations.

I'm done with reservist but I find short hair suits the weather here better.

Agreed. To be honest I've reached a stage where I don't care about my hair, but the weather is what makes me cut my hair very short...

I feel ya Dude. Everytime i leave it till a length that is considered "Long" I had to cut it for those reasons i stated. So hard to express myself in this country

well.. there are easier ways to express yourself - like using your mouth to speak and using your hand to write.

Lol, leave long hair in this country, u will be classified into the emo category. Like what faekildare said, its really difficult to express yourself in Singapore. Btw, the poly rules are meant to be broken

Sadly, the emo hair happens to be the awkward phase for me while growing my hair. So like it or not a long haired guy at some point of his growing phase looked emo.

But im in 3rd year now, I have a long hair below shoulder length, never get caught.
Yeah, its warm and hot though but poly life is once in a lifetime, go for it!

I dun think army allows goatee.. and army is diff from poly. They catch and punish u with extra and confinement..

Your right on that. But it's diff from expressing yourself with leaving long hair.

I want to let my hair grow out really long, and keep a long bushy beard that effectively obscures the lower half of my face.

Then one day, a few years down the road. I will revert back to a crew-cut and shave my face clean before heading to school.

It would be interesting to see if anybody recognises me still!

we can do anything we like, but just dont get caught

and thus, having long hair in poly prolly aint much a problem, as long as theres no one to go around on daily basis to catch. Of course, if theres anyone doing that and happen to be caught by them, then theres prolly no need to say anything or feign ignorance. Since everything is listed clearly in the regulations of the institution.

its like in the outside world, there can be police, we can be molester, murderer, robber, thief etc. When police dont catch up with us, we are free to express ourselves. And of course, if we get caught, then must face law as well.

On another note, just curious with those with long hair, do you feel depressed, insecured when not having long hair? Will it affect daily life so much that its throwing you off track? If so, other then growing long hair back, how do you ease your "pain"?
