Changing watch straps

Hey, I want to know if it is possible to change a leather strap on a watch to a steel one? Found absolutely nothing helpful on google except for ebay selling watches.

Would appreciate it if anyone knew any particular place that can do this and with good quality. Thanks

hahaha....you might have more answers if you find the right forum man. Let me answer your question based on my knowledge.

Yes. It's possible. But again, it depends on your watch brand. May I know what's the brand?

Some watch shops do sell bracelets for watches. You need to know your size of your strap also(normally it comes with 22, 24, 26mm width). Best is to bring the watch to the watch shop and ask.

Fossil, got it as a gift. It's leather strapped but I already have a much better and nicer leather strapped watch, and this fossil one the face I imagine it to look pretty nice on a steel bracelet.

The thing I'm not sure about is the quality, do you personally know any place which would give at least decent quality?

Fossil is not a brand which many bracelet manufacturers produce for. your bracelet might end up being more expensive than the watch alone. I think you should leave it where it is.

Bracelets are harder to get than simple leather straps. The main concern would be the spring bars. If they are curved then you have a problem. Most pracelets are purpose built to fit a range of products. It's not just about the length of the bars. It's also the final link that you need to take note of.

Best is to contact the agent for Fossil. See if they have a bracelet for that watch you have. If not, then forget it. It's really not worth the trouble.

One other option is to look for a milanese bracelet of the same width as your spring bar's length. The milanese bracelet is quite neutral, and should fit most designs.

Search for www.watchworx.co.uk or something.
