Boutique Gear: When did you fall for them?

Oh ya, got my crunch box. Fiddling with it yesterday. Damn heck of a pedal, i love it just wat i wanted out of the plexi channel of teh death rattle. Like wat lifehouse said a marshall on steriods, but still tight and articulate when u pile up the gain. Will try to post clips when i get my tone port or sumthing.
 
DAMN IT. Where's my Screwdriver?!?!?! Ciel's Crunch Box descriptions on MSN is making me TOTALLY GAS.

I mean, organic and articulate, and yet, on hi gain, allows you to sustain a note for 20 secs on a Gib LP?!?

The three knobs give me endless varieties of tones and sounds......making the rest of my pedals redundant. I've gotten rid most of my boss pedals and only kept my BD2 and GE7.

I've a OCD on order and the screwdriver might make me cancel it.......

I strongly recommend Skreddys......
 
When I record it, you guys will stop kidding abt it. Heh. And the excuse you'll have for nothing getting one is... no idea... can';t think of any excuse, when its EVERYTHING FOR TONE!!!!

Wah. Add a compressor and max the sustain I think can hit 40 secs liao.

ceil21 hows the crunch box?? readin thegearpage.net's forum is realli makin me crazy.. i was almost goin to order the crunchbox.. den i realise someone in our forum got it arleayd..so no harm askin.. how does it do rock like guns n roses and skidrow kind?? people in TGP are mostly sayin that this is the bomb.. Jcm800 in a box.. makin me crazy and itchy too.. lol
 
We A/Bed it with the SEM mode on my DS-1. Very similar tones for rhythm. Slightly different harmonic accentuations but our drummer couldn't really tell the difference.

The crunchbox wins out on sustaining lead tones though. It's got a more highly saturated gain and longer sustain.
 
Rythm wise the ds-1 is slightly thinner too, the crunch box has a thicker tone compared to the ds-1. Will post come clips of it, but recording it tru my comp doesnt really do it justice.

just get it direct from michael. And ship with the normal mail service the 8 usd one. if ur worried just opay for insurance. I gt mine in like 8 days after he shipped it. cool dude. he emailed me to inform me when he is shipping it and emailed me again after he shipped it. Getting it from aussie is easier than getting it from tonefactor from the states i would reckon.
