BEST OF G3

it's harder to control a single coil than a humbucker..andy timmons uses hums if u look closely enough. low output, thin sounding tone blah blah....

clapton and buddy guy can get fat, great sounding tones thru their single coils, so IMO andy timmon's blues for carlos aint exactly blues...

ask a person who's played a double humbucker guitar to play a strat and he'll stick to the bridge position after 10 mins.

nope, i'm not refering to his improvisation skills, talking abt the way he gets his tone.

Wait wtf you talking bro?

How is that cheating?

Getting thinner sound from humbucker? Means? He finger-synch? Wtf?

Talking you what?

Seems like you've not heard his single coil endeavours on some of his songs. Then again, your mindset of equipment vs phrasing for blues is astounding to most of us. Never did it occured to me that a humbucker player couldn't do blues.......I guess Timmons, Bonamassa, Robben Ford and alot more other players just can't dish out blues

Its not TRUE enough.

Think TRUE metal.

I wanna see ron thal. I wanna Mattias. Bring on the NEXT wave of GROUND breaking rock guitarists!!!!

Even that guitarist of MUSE, what's his name? Bring on some FUZZ!

matt bellamy has good control over his effects.. but I honestly think his piano playing is better than his guitar playing, which says alot. He's not exactly a shredder type of person.
