Beginners unite!

Haha no not really classically trained just a bit of everything.

Anyway i think you guys should try to come up with a list of stuff we can focus on. Cause the last time i went it was quite disorganized in the sense that we all broke into our little cliques and nothing got taught/learnt. Maybe a list of stuff we could do would help to direct the jamming session?:p

tell u all already must prepare find out what u want to learn then u ask. but I seem to share a lot about chords all the time lol

of course can lah, but I don't know what u all want to learn so I teach u all chords lah lol

Because I'm not beginner to guitar so chords are not much problem for me.I need some help in technique like vibrato and squealling...Is it ok?

yes of course, but I think beginner or not there's so much things to learn about chords and the usage of them. I myself still have to learn so much about chords and the usage

chords is very vague. really! u can know the basic chords like the triads and the sevenths. but what abt the ninths, augmented and dominants and a whole lot other colourful but rarely used chords? these are something i wanna learn abt also.

another thing. this meeting is all abt sharing. doesnt matter whether u bring acoustic or electric with amp, the only reason why electric players bring amp is cos w/o it we cant be heard. so the person teaching cant tell whether we're hitting the right note/s or not by hearing. but certain techniques do require gain and therefore need usage of electrics.

anyway, here's a list of things i'd like to learn if i manage to go for the meetup:
- expanded chords (any more colourful chords besides the plain old triads and power chords)
- alternate and economy picking
- fretting hand muting and picking hand muting
- hybrid picking

feel free to add on if u know what u wanna learn :)

Hi! Likui, I am interested to brush up the following:

1) Artificial harmonics, expression techniques beyond picking: How to apply to a simple "riff" or "phrase"

2) Musical Dynamics techniques for solo e-guitar, how to make your solos have more "feeling"... Speed can only bring you thus far. (,゚Д゚)

3) Chords improvisation into jazzed up renditions

4) Playing with others (´・ω・)つ
