Anyway, someone suggested more competition and they volunteered for this competition. Read the first post if you have not already.

I personally think that this two bands, armchair critic and wormrot are too far apart to be compared. One is indie rock,the other grindcore ah. Think armchair critic will have the advantage cos their genre more easy listening.

Well it's their problem if they joined it. I just don't think something like this is necessary.
Who says music is personal? That's not a question I can answer. If you don't think music is something personal and you don't find some deep, spiritual experience in the music you listen to, obviously there's something very wrong. Either that or the vulgar proliferation of crappy music on the airwaves has screwed with your head.

to the sceptics, dont be. we could have cowarded out and say 'nah this is bullshit, publicity stunt, dun wanna sellout to a mainstream forum, get nothing out of this, james thinks he's Shang Tsung from Mortal Kombat blablabla' and give all sorts of excuses, but we're professional enough to do this. we have nothing to prove, we're just doing it because we can. we dun expect blastbeats or fast fretwork from armchair critic either, dunno if they can anot (WORMROT 1 - ARMCHAIR CRITIC 0 hahA!). in the end, music is subjective and its for the fun of it. if ur music is too personal, then play it in ur bedroom and stay there.

bro chill lah. I wrote that in the middle of the night leh dey. I just thought that what pinkfloydrose was being very critical of a potentially good competition and just blurted out whatever I felt. Great idea! A little competition is always healthy Altho I think James you might wanna confirm with the bands first next time and to post the rules, themes etc right smack on the first post of the thread 
Actually you don't need to give the judges away either but at least a general idea of where the judges stand so that the bands feel their music will be judged on fair terms..
I think the genre difference and title is great too. It's gonna be a challenge for Wormrot, but you'll only know how good a band is musically and creatively when they're thrown out of the comfort zone and still survive (and bonus points for kicking ass at it!)

Hah this is slightly interesting. Although in my other thread I didn't really mean the literal definition of 'Competition', I meant more 'competition' as in more friction between bands, instead of the usual perpetual back-scratching mutual ass-wiping stuff.
Even so, this is still pretty interesting. Look at that! Just like this, wormrot and armchair critic has gained so much more popularity. Conflict isn't always a bad thing.
