on the contrary, i feel stage prescence is an imp part of being in a band playing live.
somehow, i'd feel good owning a fender or having a gibson branded decal on my guitar, even if the gibson/fender doesn sound like how it should. but this topic is highly relative.. i know i felt secure choosing an instrument safe and branded and that will be most likely how i'd feel playing it live as well:)

Question:
Did you guys know which famous guy ever did put a Gibson decal on a Fender headstock? Make a guess.. that guy is just very brand conscious that he learn how to create his own brand and now he owns quite some indispensable products we use!

Will reveal soon :)

hahah Gibson owners have been dissed countless times about how they are just brand conscious and that the brand sucks and all , but usually by the people who don't own them and have no idea how a Gibson plays or even feels . Thats my example but as long as the guitar plays and sounds good , i'll use it

Anyone know how to get rid of brand logos on guitars, damn.. I bought a cheap guitar for fun and I don't like it's logo, I plan to remove it and then put my own signature on it :D Heck, I don't even think it's a decal, i think they just painted that logo on the guitar.

One of the few times I agree with you.. Hahaha

LadyInTears, no prize for claiming you share a good piece of info.hehe

And to the rest of Eddie's fan! Here's a nice decal conscious pic!

Actually it's more of telling people that his pickup is from his Gibson 335 and the rest are just parts he bought off some factory..(gotta go back to my chunk of info on him again...brain failing me) Later he did sand that logo away.

This EVH Snake guitar was posted at a EVH fan forum and this headstock is actually a charvel. Eddie didn't like it sitting there so he actually tape over it. He eventually sanded that logo off.

The picture of the logo sanded off.

Oh yes, he did swap it over to his frankenstrat for a while during 1980s.

I wont use the Fender decal but I rather use my own name on the headstock :) Heck, I don't mind going brandless on the headstock.

i think wat hes trying to say is, if hes playing a gibson on stage but dont have skills, it will be very embarrassing

heh, from the way you put it, sounds like dissing the forum here. Why you so like dat!!! Elitist ah!!!

No lah... Not dissing anyone... Just sharing what sentiments i've gained from this forum so far... Heheheh...

If I wanted to be elitist, I'd ONLY post in TGP!!! Hahahaha...
