YEAH!

I've been searching but am unable to find Single StompBoxes that can replicate that type of distortion that isnt too muffled or tube-ish but the in your face mordern type distortion.

The closest i can come to i think is the BOSS GT with its COSM effects but have never tried it out.

My guess that since Roland and Boss are kinda Working with each other now and the amp im using is an old Roland cube, it should be the Closest sound to what i have now.

But im not looking to get a Multieffects as there might be some issues with Stacking certian effects and theres only a limit to how many you can stack and bad experience with my PodXT.

Any of you have ever had the same need for a Dual rect type distortion?

I've only Tried out a few pedals

MT-2
Wylde OD
PODxtLive
Digitech Grunge
my last owned pedal was the Pod Xt Live

Artist using this kinda sound:
Brad Delson
P.O.D
THANK YOU :)

since you have been searching and couldnt find the one thats suitable for you, perhaps you can list out those that you have tried and wasnt suitable, so that others wont recommend the same thing and would make this thread more accurate and precise.

I doubt there's a nice clone of the amp's distortion.. Maybe a tube zone or something?
I'm unsure.. Never heard it in person before..

Keke well since it is the mesa tone u r looking for then of course u gotta use mesa pedals imo eg. the mesa V twin pedal.

Agree with leecs, the subdecay blackstar has pathetic amounts of gain for a supposedly hi-gain pedal, its so horrendous I'm using as a gain booster.

Why don't you just head down to an effects specialist to try out their offerings?

I've got a few high gain options, that may or may not have a rectifier sound to it..

MI Audio Tube Zone
Krank Distortion Maximus
Guyatone Metal Monster
Roctron Zombie Rectified Distortion
Catalinbread Teaser Stallion

I'm just guessing lah.. But you can go ahead to Blackwood and TY to try em out.. Best is Blackwood got some Mesas you can actually compare it with!

the first name came up in my mind is Sans Amp GT2

I dunno about the other suggestions as i've never tried most of the analog boxes they have suggested....

I think a Sansamp GT-2 is a great option that you can try that isn't expensive though it lacks the warm tone that the Dual Rect produces.... No offense to the rest of the suggestions but if u want a sound closest to the Dual Rect or any tube amp distortion sound, stay away from digital devices as I've tried Line 6, Digitec and Zoom... they fail although u might wanna console yourself cause u spent the money...

Just FYI, I was searching like crap for the past 4 years for a sound close to a Dual Rect in a stomp box but tried in vain and failed pathetically causing lots of unnecessary $$$. So I decided to get a Mesa Dual Rect. :-D So far my Sansamp GT2 works fine for me on the move. And you might wanna ask Pedalitis about the Mesa V-Twin as he used to have one and he knows how a Mesa Dual Rect sounds like as he's got one so he'll be the best person for a review.

The V Twin sounds more bluesy than metal.

A Toneczar Openhaus is about the heaviest thing around right now.

And there's another upcoming pedal...

Try sansamp GT2 with a boss GE7 and i hope you are using a kick ass guitar with kick ass pickups too... if not, it might not work as well...

ive had a V twin, and well... its really a distant distant cousin of a rectifier. sounds well, close to nothing like it!!.. haha.. na man. maybe u could give a budget you are working round?
