Ok, Gashaus reputation is going down man.
First is paying to play.
Now, is I/C thing.
For myself,I dare to say, I hate gashaus. Alot of bullies to students. I think you guys already know. Fancy, paying 400 bucks for damage caused. And keep hold of the I/C. Then the agreements bout selling tickets.
Lizdrummer, I guess you must go to the police or confront with them. Its the Law, Not to keep anyone's IC. Sometimes, we need to be brave and fight for your rights. Don't let anyone bully us.
So if any of the Gashaus staff, Do take note, What you guys are doing is wrong.

Then, WeeLee Music. LOL! The guitar string Rust then broke, Must pay 2 bucks. Thats my personal experience with WeeLee. The drums are not well maintained, anyone who last touch it, will have to pay for the damage anytime soon.

wow! so agree with MichealAngelo man. ok, since its about experiences, when my band used to jam at Garage Studios, i actually ended up breaking the bass drum head. got charged $5 for it.....patched it up with a piece of cardboard and just tahan all the way. at that time i was kinda ok with it, but now, come to think of it, why do studios charge like $14, $16 and even $18 if they're gonna ask us to pay for damages or equipment "wear-n-tear?" shouldnt the charges for studio rentals already cover equipment breakage? dont tell me we're just paying for electricity man!!! thats absolutely ridiculous!!!!!!!
you guys should try alvrons... as a drummer i got my worst jamming experience there... first they ask me to pay for drum sticks... forgot how much... then the ones they rent me is like satay stick like that... literally... super overused and the head was gone already.. when i demanded that i deserved better sticks since i paid for it they refused and say if i want i have to buy new pairs from them... so i diam diam buy... payed dunno how much for lazer sticks... damn...
later on when i saw their drums.. it's was fucked up.. useless loose pedal... drum sounds like shit.. then tension oso funny funny.. bass drum cannot play one... they dun even have throne... the throne they use is a kopi diam stool... after that i never ever went there again.. still remember the aunty who was damn rude and all...

alvron is a real S***Hole now.
it used to be a good studio once upon a time.
but the wrong people are maintaining it.
bloody useless aunties are running the show at times when they know
nuts about the equipment.
there was this once my drummer had a problem with his drum.
the double pedal came into like 3pieces i think,
so he asked for assitance,
the aunty said
My men not working today and i cant repair it and if spoil you guys must pay.
so the whole 2hour jamming session we spent 1 hour fixing and tunning the
drum set.
and the best part is when you play just a little louder than usuall,
you can see the aunty at the door window.
please turn down your volume..
after couple of incidents like this i stopped going to alvron already.

)That's right, who gives them rights to detain IC? and Alvron also,come on la,your all girls' malay band is not that bad,musically it rocks well.Dont get hungry for small gigs like Gaus Haus. Don't we have 4 tones?beat merchants? and studios like Velvet joint? and plenty others to jam? I am sure there are also gigs where you don't have to pay at all.

The door at gashaus is widely opened, and outsider can go in and watch for free.. The organizer didnt even stop them. They only think about Money.

its so true...there's more place to jam and gig...and yeah i learn my part so i hope if other bands read abt tis..they will bear all tis mind..
its nt that i'm boycotting ppl..its juz that i wan them to be cautious...they can still gig or jam at gas haus..its up to them coz i know its so damn pop now...but juz a gentle reminder for u all especially the students..dun get cheated over money...
i know they open business to make money but in a good way nt demanding and cheating...retaining I/C is a serious offence...

my drummer damn blur and innocent looking and that ang moh sound man also ask for bus pass. He didn't even ask the other bands. Sigh. Think he see my drummer innocent can bully. But if he dare, he die. Her mom was watching us. Hehehe.

Telling the person from the band to pay up for the unknown damage is one thing.
But telling the person to pay up AND then critise the person for damaging the thing is another thing.Noone is too good to judge a musician for how he or she plays.
N not only that.In the end,the person paid up and also got criticised.So what did the person get in return?u noe urself.
Ive known ur story,Liz. N i think its not fair.Yes,it may seem alrite to others cos maybe they didnt actually experience the whole thing.
In other words,go settle the situation quick!

well first i wouldnt blame GAS HAUS for MOST of the THINGS that they are being accused of... GAS HAUS is just basically a club/pub that provides gig organisers a venue to have their events n stuff... n if the gig organisers dont have any events then GAS HAUS will still be a normal club/pub...
2nd... if there arent gig organisers, the local scene is gonna go down... gig organisers try their best to make money... well yes... but according to the event that lizdrummer(Jinx) was playing... which was on the 30th of December 2007... there was HUGE local band... e.g. PLAIN SUNSET... do they actually realise that these bands have to be paid to perform...
come on people... its already been paid n im sure the gig organisers have figured something out... n on a whole... how much will the gig organisers make after they pay rental fees to the location n bands fee(for some)...
likewise... lets play good music... not quarrel...

I know the mainstreamed band are being paid.
But that doesnt mean, the pub or organizer to bully the other Underground band.
Why getting money from the Unknown band in not a nice way?
Its like giving the best for the mainstream and heck care the unknown one.
Its not fair.
Anyway, Im a supporter of all the local scenes. Mainstream too. No offence to anyone.
Need Gashaus crew or the management to clarify the matter with us on this thread.
We need fairness.
