avril lavinge?!... f*cking awful. Then again, who goes to watch avril lavigne.. i just seen her on Saturday Night Live and stuff... so crap...
can i just say 1 thing about people insulting local bands-
who cares?... if you are in a band that someone has insulted, grow up, and get over it.. not everyone is going to like your music, and if you're not confident enough to believe that your music IS good (despite one persons words) then take off your guitar or put down the mic and get a desk job or something.. it's pathetic how tightly strung some people are... honestly

I think some problem singapore bands have is the vocalist .. I've seen real solid bands using the most terrible vocalists .. I don't know if anyone agrees ..

mm that really depends... my friends saw a good band who at first had a bad vocalist, but on their last song, "I Am A Viking", they switched to this other vocalist who rocked the house!
HAS anyone noticed those emo gigs in sg, with kids like 16 going up on stage playing emo/punk songs, and their "stage presence" is mostly dancing round and round in circles, swinging their axe this way and that like they're in drunken stupor, and once in a while they dodge each other by inches because it's so bloody messy on stage? i vote THOSE as "worst in singapore", they look awful, retarded and... honestly, nothing like their influence (the punk/emo way of swaying to the music), and i'll laugh if they knock into one another or hit their axe against the amps and crash and burn :twisted: =X.

crispyegg: haha, yeah i know what ya are trying to say. I was at a emo/post hardcore gig at 3rd place. There was this dude. swinging his guitar as he played, and he look like he was drunk, and the best part is he screwed up his playing. BUT the best part is, as he was swingin his axe, the guitar struck the micstand, and the stand fell on someone! hahaha, the best part is, he was the lead vocal as well, so when the song started, he cldnt sing
