worst band you've seen live?

My Chemical Romance is bad at live. The guitars and everything is great...just Gerard Way. Look at him at the VMAs...it's like he's got no breath or something. If that's not enough, try Yahoo Music Live or something...it's almost the same!

As for me,

It wld be the band that played "The Final Countdown" Live. The video is in another section. Actually, it ain't the worst, but rather the most hilarious one I've seen

Every band performing in TP
no wonder i applied with a band for music vox(not another of those punk rock/alternative/modern bands), and they didnt even bother to call us up for auditions...

You might have applied at the wrong time. Music Vox only has a very limited intake.

It's not that any band in TP sucks. It's the way things are organized. It's the same way outside. People are quick to judge a band in a CCA like this, but what they don't know is that these bands are the ones who have shone in the auditions, otherwise, why would they even be selected? Same way goes for anything outside.

Dexian: Them bastards did me injustice. But nah, it's just a small matter i don't bother about.

ooh, i see...hmm....but i applied during the performance that music vox had outside the library(some arts groups showcase or sth like that), before the 1 week holidays.(christmas week) and our band didnt even get a call at all. Have u got any idea wat we can do about it? we really wanna at least try out. Yea...:) oh ya, in case u didnt get wat i mean, we werent even called up to go for an audition at all! :?

btw pooo, im always wondering who u are, wonder if i saw u performing b4, or playing before...haha... :p

Hmm, i'm not sure cos currently the slots are all full. You can probably try again soon, cos 1 or 2 bands will probably be leaving, but i'm not sure when, only soon. Open house is a good time to try again.

In anycase i don't quite understand this thread's motives.. soft's a pretty public place and, putting down local bands, good or not isn't really a nice thing, especially if you're on the recieving end.

the original thread is about foreign worst live acts. then someone forgotten about carebearing and starts some tp crap.

You might not like XYZ Band nor ABC Band or whatever. But they are all bands like you and your buds (if you have a band), trying to entertain the crowd. No matter what genre or style, there is still that mutual respect between bands.
It still takes a whole lot of guts to be standing on a stage, performing your stuff (or crap in the some of the audiences' minds).

did i not explictly state the following?

let's leave out local bands..that would be an overflowing can of worms

so are you just blind or can you not read?
take your TP crap elsewhere...

Oh? Are you trying to imply that you do not have the least respect for foreign bands too? Even though they may be, in a way, lousy or a pain to listen to?

Dude, music is about performing for the people. It takes guts to get up there and do your thing. Sometimes things go wrong and things end up a mess. Put yourself in their shoes, if you screwed up, and people mocked you, how would you feel?

Think about it.

take your TP crap elsewhere...

I responded to another's questions. How about YOU taking your crap elsewhere?

The world would be a better place without musicians who mock others because they are inferior.

i dont see a need to differentiate between local or foreign bands,if they're good, they have my respect. if not, i will speak my honest opinion about why i think they suck.

Put yourself in their shoes, if you screwed up, and people mocked you, how would you feel?

been in those very shoes many times, i treat it as criticism and a means to improve. it doesnt matter if its constructive or not,i take it the same way,and its a good laugh sometimes.

if you havent already noticed, the topic in question has nothing to do with TP bands or local bands for that matter as i stated in the first post.
you seem to have quite the comprehension problem.
someone else brought in the off topic matter and you effectively hijacked the thread by steering the discussion to your petty school band problems, which means jack all to others really.

the world would be a better place without inferior musicians,or those who are too sensitive to accept criticism. then again, who are you and i to judge what's inferior?

Well yes, you have a point there, but have you ever had anyone post up those screw ups on a public forum and have a laugh about it? It's a whole different thing when it's on a forum, especially where people who didn't actually see the incident have access to it. The perception issue is a big thing, especially when people have a perception that a band "sucks", that image isn't going to change very easily. And besides, i'm sure we do have foreign visitors every once in a while, and it wouldn't be very nice if one of them happened to come from a band this community has just criticised.

And so it becomes my fault that someone hijacked the thread and lead it astray. Ah, for my part in it, I apologize. But i certainly do take the respect for music and musicians issue very seriously. Instead of saying outrightly in such a crude manner that a band, regardless of the race of their members and where they come from "sucks", the topic could have been phrased to something like, what we could learn from bands who perform sub-par, so to speak.
