pardon me for this noob guitar wiring/electronics question, i've googled and searched this forum to no avail.

what kind of wires are needed for connecting the pots, jacks etc to pickups? and where can they be bought? and what's the price range?

you can use any sort of wire as long its conductable and flexible enough to fit in the cavity

If wanna be particular, search for cloth wire. Something like these

if wanna cheap(few dollars for one big roll) and working one, just drop by simlim tower and look for something like these below(can be easily found in shops there). It can be found in smaller roll, multiple colours. And the more important is to get those multi strand core type for flexibility.(they also sell the single core type, which is less flexible to with, compared to the multi strand one)

yup, its possible as well, but just remember to get those mutil strand type. Its easier to work with.

heh, unless wanna do something like shaping the wires in orderly manner like the below kinda, then can try those single core type of wire for it.

woo... thanks for the great help man.. i bought a roll of jumper wires (very thin, thinner than the wires shown in your pictures) and i was wondering if they are unsuitable for guitar wiring and should i go back to the shop and ask for exchange to suitable wires. but they are very flexible though, and i asked for the multi strands type. hehe

the thinner one shud be fine. Those that i used(in the 1st pic) is round 1mm thickness. Its quite thin as well.

i have used those for some of my geetars as well, its working fine so far.

some used thicker one partly also its easier to work with when soldering and more sturdy feel over the thin wires.
