Guitar
Ok. Im thinking of getting a new guitar. Either a Japanese Fender Strat 72' or the Gibson Les Paul Double Cut Plus.
Fender Cost about 800-900
Gibson Cost about 1.7k-1.8k
(prices of the guitar from ppl i want to buy from. Not Stock Price!)
I have about 2.9k and i wanna get a 600 bucks marshall amp and some other effx.
If i get the Fender, i can happily get my self 6-10 pedals.
With the Gibson, i can get 3-6.
(prices of pedals varies)
So im really in a dilemma
![Confused  ](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f615.png)

Thnx alot!
Cheers,
Ps: 600 marshall amp only could i be bought if i go for the Fender.
And Minus 400 bucks cos i needa do something with it. Thnx
Ok just to give u a quick idea, strat= strong single coil Twang, single coil(hummings, unless u install lace censors etc etc), and gibson= there is twanginess but humbucker twanginess.
Scales if u use on these two guitars
blues with strat = ull get that single coil twang with neck pups, sharp sound with bridge like yngwie j malmsteen guitar sound
Blues with gibson = u will still get twang but diff one, humbucker twanginess, e.g Slash guitar sound, thick sounding.
Arpeggios/neo classical with strat = Strat would bite, if you nail neo-classical licks, alot of tones would come out off strat with Sweep pickings, string skips etc etc very neo-classical sounding u would get off strat. Sorta say strat has punchy twangy sound especially with tubescreamer or OD3 pedal.
Arpeggios/neo classical with Gibson = Abit muddy tho, if you change pickups the gibson sound will still be there, u cant get that 'punchy twang' like u get off strats, u will still be able to do the sweep picking finger stunts but totally diff sound you would get. I duno i had both guitars Gibson LP is great it just have diff sounding so called Muddy.
Country licks with strat = perfect sounding for chicken picking and stuff.
Country licks with Gibson = not bad but just doesnt perfect guitar for country playing.
Metal with strat = NOt too bad sounding but humbucker would sound more solid, thicker, not bad for strats tho, just that humbucker guitars would give more punch if you play the power chords.
Metal with Gibson = Solid, punchy due to humbucker sound off the guitar, but Ibanez kinda guitars would fit better in my opinion, they sound brighter.
Just my 1 cent opinion hehe, coz i had both, and i sold both guitars till i picked up the guitar again, but right now using a low end Epiphone LP special II with Tesla VR-60 Humbucker gold, love the sound of LP hehehe. But intend to sell the guitar tho.
