So far, I have not heard of a single soul imprisoned for tongue piercing. As long your parents don't mind, as long your school allows... why not?

Do take extra care though, infections are very common.

for some areas they do have a limiting age for tongue piercing.
while those tt allows underage piercing are usually not too safe. so be extra careful.

hmm..i personally do not favour piercings. i have no piercings on me, because during a good brawl these lil things get in the way. especially those men with their testis decorated. so u might wanna think twice if ur a heavy yet safe player, or a real street fighter.

anyway, u can pierce ur tongue urself. a few of my friends did. just buy the necessary items and diy. make sure ur tongue is long enough, coz mine isnt. but that doesnt mean i cant provide good cunnilingus service.

no seriously, it boils down to the whole point of why you want to pierce? people pierce for different reasons, one would be that they enjoy the pain, one would be they enjoy decorating their face, if fake rings were around, it'd just make piercing redundant because any tom's dick in harry can wear a fake ring instead.

consider how dumb you will look if u accidentally swipe your hand over ur face and knock the magnet off to the floor, and people realise theres no hole on your face. yup.

Any tom, dick n harry can put on a ring for whichever reason. A fake or clip-on ring is just another alternative for those who do not wish to go through the piercing for whatever reasons. Perhaps they don't wish to go through that pain, or they don't wish to have the infection risk etc.

A real piercing is not going to make you any more real and original. If you are piercing just to show people you have a real piercing, then that's even worse than having a fake ring.

It should be a personal decision. He doesn't have to prove anything to anybody with piercing or not. What's there to prove? It's only a decorative bodyart afterall - just like tattoo, necklaces, chains etc...
