Hello, I really can't stand it anymore. From this morning, 1of my friend is keep spamming sms to Me saying "Guitar is useless"(I'm a guitarist). I asked Him for a reason and He replied, "electone Make way better sound and guitar sucks blahblahblahblahblah". I'm really pissed off now, But Don't know how to rebutt with. What Should I say? I don't know about electone at all.

I'm really bloody pissed.

Hmm... the electone is a pretty unsexy instrument... It does produce cool sounds, yes, but its definitely NOT sexy and absolutely incapable of inducing GAS (to me at least)...

I mean, countless guitars have appeared on magazines, clutched seductively by scantily clad models... Don't think any model would be quite as happy to pose in a bikini next to an *ahem*....ELECTONE....

Tell him that he is probably about as sexy as his electone...

i play both, and i enjoy both of them for different situations.

electone can NEVER sound like a real guitar, not the strumming, not the distortion, not the sliding and hammering, even with horizontal touch or sliding pedals, it just dun sound the same.

but if playing a full orchestra song, or a full band, or multiple instruments, the only thing that could prolly get you a one-man orchestra/band/ensemble in real time (i dun mean session by session track by track) is the electone with registrations.

anyway, if you feel pissed because he's telling you that electone's way better, tell him to bring his electone out to jam with you (unless his electone is the yamaha ddk-7 http://www.yamaha.com.sg/Electone_DDK-7.html which i guess is the only portable electone, or rather, transportable...)

and to Geek: i actually find the ddk-7 sexy
