ok, i agree 100% with what xtreme posted above there. if anyone shun the responsibility of being married, have kids, bills, house mortgage, etc.... then its better to just wait/think a little longer, more. i guess more are inclined to get more pedals, guitars, basses, gear, etc. or uncompromise when cornered in a position where they have to think more than "self." but i guess if u really want to make it work as both a musician and a husband/wife/parent, there is always a way, or a middle ground. i myself am married when i was 31. that was 2yrs ago. i'm going to be Dad in less than a month, and i live in my own house with my wife and a cat. ok, i don't gig or jam as regularly as before, but i still am able to mantain buying CD's by the bucketload "sometimes." and in the process of ataining a new guitar soon...
i personally know of 2 SOFties here who are married and still more or less mantain their musician lifestyle. one even owns a jam studio and going to be a Dad too! the other always buys new gear/guitar on a regular basis.
i remembered when the "ideal age to be married" for me was 25. but come to think of it now, i was not mature enough then... heck, even if i'm 35 and i feel if i'm not mature enough to handle the responsibilities of marriage/parenthood life, its better to just be single.
