what is the most ideal age to get married?

woah RESPECT dude !! ... yup i think as men we shld not degrade ourselves this way ... even if the opposite sex is willing ... shldnt lose our dignity

i think age isn't a question here. it's more at what level of maturity do you wanna get married. I guess b4 getting married u would have to consider lots of things... money, house, kids = not being able to jam as often.

like me, both my other half n i come from the same band. now that we have a kid, we both can't be playing in the same band at the same time, so one of us has to make that sacrifice n not play... but we still enjoy going to gigs with out daughter. (she loves queensryche n steel heart n DT btw, and she's not even 2yrs). :!: 8O

Anyways, i guess no matter what the age is but if a 30 yr old behaves like a 20 yr old then obviously it's not possible. 8O but if the 20 yr old behaves like a 30 yr old and it ready for all that responsibility where divorce may not be an option then go for it. I got married when i was 26. m still happily married... :D

ok, i agree 100% with what xtreme posted above there. if anyone shun the responsibility of being married, have kids, bills, house mortgage, etc.... then its better to just wait/think a little longer, more. i guess more are inclined to get more pedals, guitars, basses, gear, etc. or uncompromise when cornered in a position where they have to think more than "self." but i guess if u really want to make it work as both a musician and a husband/wife/parent, there is always a way, or a middle ground. i myself am married when i was 31. that was 2yrs ago. i'm going to be Dad in less than a month, and i live in my own house with my wife and a cat. ok, i don't gig or jam as regularly as before, but i still am able to mantain buying CD's by the bucketload "sometimes." and in the process of ataining a new guitar soon...

i personally know of 2 SOFties here who are married and still more or less mantain their musician lifestyle. one even owns a jam studio and going to be a Dad too! the other always buys new gear/guitar on a regular basis.

i remembered when the "ideal age to be married" for me was 25. but come to think of it now, i was not mature enough then... heck, even if i'm 35 and i feel if i'm not mature enough to handle the responsibilities of marriage/parenthood life, its better to just be single.

echoist .... hmmm ... i thought i was pretty old here ... now that there is someone older than me .... :)

Yeah ... it's not easy to handle a family ... and i dun think i'm ready either. I dun wanna start a family and have kids and in the end make them suffer for a lag of financial support ya know what i mean?

I want my family (if i do have one) to live at least a comfortable lifestyle .. at least not lacking anything. I'm not asking for luxury .... but at least we dun have to worry about bills, mortgage loan, car, school fees for my kids and stuff like that.

So meanwhile, i want to concentrate on stuff that matters ... like my career switch .... getting my degree ... while i work on my music stuff ... etc. Girlfriend or wife is not in the agenda ... yet.
