What Good 5 string can i get for $1800- $2100

gotta be five string
brand new or second hand and close to it.
was looking into getting a stingray. But it'd be too expensive.
You guys got any idea?
i play anything you throw at me.

A yamaha BB2005? Or you can look out for secondhand stingray 5's if you don't mind waiting a little. You can also try looking at the Ibanez SR or BTB series.

Second hand's usually have no problems if you take some time to look them over and all. And always try to abide by the saying that if the deal seems too good to be true, then it normally is.

yamaha TRB 5PII or Lakland 55-02 =P

Oh man, the TRB5PII ain't cheap bro. Its essentially a custom shop yamaha. I remember seeing a few go on ebay for about USD2500 secondhand.

The lakland would be nice, but shipping would blow it quite severely out of your budget range, unless you can find one secondhand here.

hahahaha... yes u are right wraith. Just could not tahan lah... love my current TRB5II now... so just need to promote yamaha =P yeah... abt the Lakland true... but according to Superkicky in the lakland thread he said its possible to get the korea made one (55-02) new shipped here at abt 2k.

maybe get a used john myung signature. I own one it's got nice tone despite it being a rock bass. It's slap tone is also one of the best around. one bad point is that the finger spacing is very very small. so u gotta get used to that. otherwise, u play with the EQ and u can get quite a lot of different sounds. It's got 2 truss rods and an ebony fretboard. It should not warp easily. hope that helps
