Agreed. The Beta Aivin HM-200 can easily get Lamb of God tones. It's a pretty 'modern' sounding distortion though you can get classic tones out of it too if you tweak. Check it out here (www.standardvalue.com.sg) I own one and it's not about to be replaced anytime soon.

yes boss metalzone or even boss metalcore is quite alright.

Ok, I got my Rocktron Silver Dragon, SCREW THE DAMN EHX METAL MUFF ALREADY! IT sounds WAY BETTER, I've re-recorded my stuff and it's on myspace. So you get a rough idea of what the Silver Dragon sounds like.

If you are on a tight budget the HM-200 is a good buy IMO...

I find the Openhaus ver.1 very warm and dark... Not exactly brutal enough to be a "metal" pedal... It's high gain, and might just do the trick in a band mix...
