it's the brand name superiority talking. there'd be cult interest for Gibson washing detergent, baby diapers, cup noodles, etc.

it might be a test of whether they still live up to their name (though the quality does vary quite abit nowdays)

you all know in nokia's official history, they initially started off by making paper a long long time ago right?
those who are from around there say they actually started by making fisherman's boots.
anyway, this to me is just another thread by someone who doesnt or cant justify spending the amount for a gibson, and thus of cos cries out.
kinda like the long-standing epiphone vs gibson argument.

Who cares about what Gibson sells.
Gibson probably doesn't manufacture those stuff. They just outsource it and allow the Gibson logo to be printed on the products. Who gets the profit? Most likely a portion to Gibson, a portion to the manufacturer.

Aye laddie. Some people will praise copies like Tokai, Grego and Edwards, while find endless reasons to bash Gibsons (ok, some dodgy QC is true in a way! :wink: ). But the main point is.....deep down inside or unconsciously. the same Gibson bashers actually wants/loves/yearns/lusts/craves to own a Gibson Les Paul one day! The "I will bash Gibson until the day I can buy/afford a Gibson" deep dark secret has been revealed. Muah-ha-ha! :smt077 :snakeman:
