hey people...
what do u guys normally use to clean or wipe ur fretboards... any liquid solution that u guys apply to keep it clean n shiny... ideas people... lets share...

This is a good thread..I see most guitars here in spore have very dry fretboard. I would also like to know how do you keep your fretboard clean and what to use to really give it real dark? I'm talking about making rosewood look like ebony.

Currently I'm using the dunlop 01 and 02. I Heard from several people to use English Oil that are available at some DIY stores. There are so many products out there. Which are decent and will do its job good and well?

hmm daniel how to get hold of tt guitar honey? Sounds/Looks/Smells amazing. Order online via credit card?

Agrophobic, to darken rosewood to ebony, you need to dye it... www.projectguitar.com , under the tutorial section. I dunno how "correct" the method is...

Chang, when I was doing that guitar thing @ NUS, you saw my guitar right?
Guitar honey is fab! I really like it, does not dry up the fretboard like Dunlop's 01 & 02 combination, in fact, with Guitar Honey, the fretboard looks great / well oiled for a good 1 - 2 months under heavy playing.
Overseas man.. overseas...

ok so...
we got like so many different kinds of stuff...
any local ones dat are easily available?? haha

Brilliant Dan! Yea ur guitar sure looks pretty tt day ;)

Hmm time to fish out tt piece of plastic. How long does it take to arrive?

Haha... that session was HORRENDOUS. Ugh. Tone from a pod XT live. Then tone from a Marshal MG15. Then have a free jam. Including piano, drums and bass. Free jam.

Anyway, how long? From USA, stuff usually takes 10 - 14 days ba.

Ahhh..dying is not a good thing to do..Chemicals do harm wood..and the reduce the life of it the least... So i'll not resolve to that. ACtually i was looking for something like what the FRet DOctor does...

Where did you buy it Metallibeast?? like what was said in the webbie "darkening your fretboard". Yerps gotta agreed with cow though 01 02 does dry up the fretboard...

How bout this english oil???

This is niceeeeee....

old english works great. it is relatively cheap and easy to apply.

does exactly what it is supposed to = moisturise.
i use both the aerosol and the oil versions. oil for fingerboard. Aerosol for general polishing and stuff.

if dyeing will reduce the lifespan of wood then....

anderson/prs/warrior and all those curly wavy maple tops are all dead.
