Tnx for the +1 tpiledriver (funny my rep is still 1), yeah as i have said, having the skill to play is a good social activity, morever it's nice that other people appreciate what you do & also your skill contribute to a good cause, like church,school & the best of all "Live Concert" where the chicks are plenty . No offence to anyone though.

But my next question is, who among the bandmates attracts more chicks? Spill it out guys, don't be shy.

as too why i started guitar, it was due to that kinda cascading waterfall feeling when someone plays a song on acoustic. now dont laugh, but one the first bands i've ever listened to and was inspired to learn guitar because of, was westlife. * now big laugh* =P

anyways, in the past, they had this hyptonising effect on me. was a very.... interesting experince, so if you can guess, i naturally started out with acoustic. after awhile tho, i stagnated and gave up.

3 years ago, picked it up again, and this time, was because of steve vai!!! yes childish as it may seem, thats how my guitar journy started. and i'm glad to say, 3 years on, i can play mostly whatever i want on guitar.

hence my motto in life is." if you don't climb the mountian, you'll never see the view"

Because I really enjoy listening to music and playing it. Out of the 3 instruments I play I guess I can play guitar best and enjoy it the most. I will most likely not choose guitar or anything to do with music as my career but music will still remain as my great passion. For the "attracting girls" stuffs, part of the reason why I'm having a girlfriend right now is because I can play guitar (that's what she told me haha xD)

I picked up the guitar when i first heard Synyster Gates on guitar.The Seize The Day and Bat Country solo had me there,so i wanted to play these solos and boom,there we go.

Actually,i can see myself in a few decades still banging on guitars like James Hetfield,though not as enthusiastically though.

There are a few reasons why I play guitar:
a) Its very addictive! Once I started, I kept wanting to learn more.
b) Its a versatile instrument that can be played in sooooo many ways, and there are so many different types of guitar.
c) It is possible to sing while playing guitar.
d) I love performing, and its so fun to perform songs on guitar.
e) Guitars are awesome, they are such fun instruments that I just love playing.
f) Its stress releiving

Many people play guitar for the love for music or worshipping... To me, I play guitar to let out all my emotions. I only find my happiness if my hands are on the guitar. I always believed that music can change people and this world and I chose to be part of it. It is a kind of art which help people with a negative mind to communicate with other people. It is a really meaningful thing to do in this life. One example is Hillsongs United. Haha, I listen to them and they inspired people and it is like chicken soup. When you listen to music, the few minutes belongs to you and your mind. It is a good thing. I don't really like those people who play guitar because parents force them play or accompany boyfriend or girlfriend to play. How can you enjoy the joy of playing when you are not playing it because you want to?
