Hi guys im new here.... Mind tellin me as i havean Epi Lp and im a beginner so wat do i do sa dat my Epi will rock n stay in tune and sound great...

Well, without looking at your guitar and assuming you have setup the guitar well, no dings, bumps, stuff that messes up tuning, the usual course of action would be

1) Change the nut (bone, tsuq or graphtech)

Cheap and makes a big different in tuning stability.
Check, if tuning don't stay. then go on.

2) Change the tuners (google, research, a lot of options)

3) Change the bridge saddles (k-t-s, graphtech)

Something like that.

But i bet you haven't let a good tech look at it so why not do that first?

well coz da feel is not dat great n does not saty in tune well... and da pups sound awful..... well also da i Epi is not a veri gd LP juz so so.. So i hope 2 make it soun n fell beta...

save loads, get 2 pups u really really want, change them, and at the same time, change the electrical components... pots, switch and wirings... jack not really necessary but if u have the cash, might as well...

the stock stuff may oxidise or become disfuntional relatively fast so might as well change them when u change ur pups...

well actually i was tinkin of gettin schecter C-1 seems pretty decent but have not tried em yet... How is it if any of u tried it out b4.. But seems i juz got da Epi i consider more of upgrading it....

Get a new guitar.
O_o

new amp too!

No... really.

Get an epi, you don't know its really a good piece of wood yet (unless some experienced guitarist figures it out for you) and you go ahead to mod the living daylights out of it. What if the guitar's a dud in the first place? High chance.

ooo i see thougth u were kidding... haha

yeah u should really go get it setted up properly 1st and play around wtih it for quite some time... if u feel u like the feel and sound of it then proceed to upgrade... if not sell it away and get a new guitar...

quality of these kinda guitars are hard to judge... shouldn't waste $$$ upgrade a guitar u don't like cuz no matter how much money u spend upgrading, in the end u feel half-half... can't bear to part with the guitar after spending so much $$$ but then again, u don't really like the guitar... so gotta try out 1st...

a proper set-up only costs around $25+-

well tru but as 4 amp i pretty happy wif my Vox AD15VT... Well my fen told me send 4 set up and change of pups will be decent enuff... if got extra cash juz change electronics and tuners...

but consider it

IS IT WORTH IT TO DO ALL THE MODIFICAITON OR NOT?

you might just spend tones of money in it but then result disappointed in the end

because if a guitar is already not THAT good... you cant expect it to sound oh-so-awesome with all the works done

because the sound and such is pretty much affected by how well made the body is

and though the cost of upgrading and stuffs might even get you a new and better guitar... why trouble?

do consider carefully though

i dont know much, but i always believe that if i dont know what to change, what to mod, then i jolly well play the hell outta the instrument and enjoy/improve on playing more than worrying on things that i have no ideas on..

just my o.oooo cents and imho

well anyway if i chnge da pups there shud be a great diff and it will at least sound decent enuff rite.. as i wish to have em switch wif SD pearly gates on both pos...

great different not too sure. But difference it will definitely be. And the most important thing is, what amp will you be using thru. If practise amp, then the difference wont be too much. If bigger amp, yes, there will be difference, but the bigger difference will be in the techinique of playing instead of the gear.

But if you have decided to go for the modding. Go ahead and try it and hear it for yourself. Each of us will have different opinions and ideas, even if we are on the same topic. Sometime it will be more blur than clear.

imho

stock epi are decent enough. till u realise that there is something lacking then change it. if u dun realise it or dun notice something then dun bother wasting your money.

just play the heck outta it first. i used to own an epi. the tuning gears are good enough, the tuning is pretty stable.
