What amp should i get?

Hi guys. What amp should i get? I am currently using a fender frontman 25r and use peddles alot. I am thinking of tube amps which are cheap eg. Fender Champion 600 or Epihpone Valve Junior. Help me Guys!!
I play rock/alternative and a little metal. I want a amp which does not have built in fx or amp modelling.

Cheers

Ibanez ValBee: even more affordable than the above-listed 8-)

sub, other than being affordable why you recommend this amp with such a tiny speaker.

To me Valbee is more of a fun toy than a "serious" long term amp.

hmmm a tube amp that has no built in EFX and is not a modelling amp ...

from the Ibanez Valbee to Mesaboogie triple rect ... fits your description leh...

you need to include the most impt info - your budget.

hehe to be fair... he did say, "I am thinking of tube amps which are cheap eg. Fender Champion 600 or Epihpone Valve Junior..", so should be ard that price range la.

How bout the peavey valveking? They have quite cheap prices online dunno bout sweelee since they overprice most of their stuff.

not advocating this to be long-term investment. besides being affordable, the overall output of the amp is applaudable. those who have other preferences would differ but i'm not advocating a brand inclination per se, otherwise, i wouldn't have bought the Valve Jr myself...

Why hasn't anyone recommended the Fender Champion 600? Seems that many pple favour the valve junior over it. Why is that so?

Am actually also considering a tube amp for my room. And these 2 options also came to mind.

Applaudable, but won't the bass response be significantly lower compared to the rest of the regular 10"/12" speaker combos? IMHO, boxy sounding at best. There is a niche place for this kind of sound BUT its not the general vanilla flavoured sound that most guitarist would need if they need just ONE amp.

I personally find these amps with tiny speakers "mask" the frequency range of guitar AND the effects. IMHO, this is a bad start for those starting out in this mad world of electric guitars about uhm... tone.

I still laugh about those days when I tried to "chug" along to metallica with a a Peavey Rage108. Waste time only! It was a revelation when I finally got my old faithful the Roland JC50.

That said, IMHO, the Valbee is a companion amp, an amp to fudge around with when you get bored with your main amp.

Well you can actualy mod it to have a speaker out socket and plug it into a 4 x 12 and now we're talking chugga chugga djeng djeng!!
