Wah Wah Wah

Using a standard crybaby gcb95, planning to get it modded to fix some problems; mainly the lack of true bypass and the lack of sensitivity past the 12th fret.

using gcb95. works fine. sounds great. Just my lacking.
i somehow like the non true bypass thingy.
alter my tone in a nice way =)

as for sensitivity. I dont have a big problem with that.

RMC 2. I like it a lot... better than a modded Vox 847, modded Crybaby and Morley Bad Horsie 2 in terms of pure tone and vibe.

o... how to tell if a pedal is true bypass?

Actually, if you can't heard the difference in the tone with regards to it being true-bypassed or not. You might as well don't bother. But again, that's only if you cannot hear the tone-loss.

I am waiting to try out the Budwah, and if it impresses me then I'm going to take it.

i'm using a crybaby classic...so far its alrite...the sweep could be a little more...but other then tt, i'm pretty sastisfied with it...

Ah, the Wah!

I personally like 'em all and would own and use them all if I could too ya Heh :)

Personally I do believe the old wahs even without True Bypass switching of the 60's were already happening it's just that in modern day context unless you intend to play a simple no fuss setup you may very well benefit from the True Bypass switching because the wah is the most notorious tone sucker among pedals especially when patched in a long chain.

On the other hand I can almost imagine if we were transported back to the 60's and we swapped Jimi's and Beck's wahs for the "TB" wahs from the future their very reaction could very likely be "Hey you! Why u gota mess around with my sound man?! It sounds too neat, too uptight, that ain't cool man!!! I like that warm MOJO from me old wah man... get back to where you belong FUTURE Man! Get da "blip" out of ma face man! Heheheehe Imagine oni la! :D

btw, the BUddah is really really retro nice, I'd like to get one when I can, THe RMC is so sweet, The MOrley is Crazeee, The Vox is really Hip Hip Hippy! Yet to test run a Colorsound wich i'm sure would be "Colorful" i'm sure but my fav is still my own tweaked Vomiteee 535Q! It cooos and purrrrs and when needed I can also go "Bleeaaaaaaahhhhhk" No everyone's fav but it's part of my tonal vocab. I like 'em smooth and ruff and all the in betweens ::)

AH!

i love my 535Q as well!!!!

hurhur iw asnt aware it was true bypass at first

anyway its possible to jiap in RED, YELLOW fasels together with a HALO inductor in a convenience of a 3 way switch?

heh....

i got a morley pro series II. but then i realised i dont use it much( cos i play the bass), so i let my guitarist use it. haha anyone wanna buy ? hmm $100 ? (:

Hmm.

Crybaby 95Q user.. had some problems but all seem ironed out with a swap of 9V batteries LOL. I use everything in full for that raucious 'Communication breakdown solo' effect, but also have that slow wah effect for a 'white room' effect.

535q

535Q ROCKS??? how much for addin in yellow fasel n halo inductor wif 3 way switch??? randolf msg me(I'm James)

the later and higher batch of cry baby seems to have true bypass already with the 3DPT switch

for the mod with yellow and red fasels only is around 100 - 150... the halo inductor you have to get it yourself and pass to him

it wont be cheap
