dont burn me just because this is a noob qns , ok .

is valve state and transtube the same ?

if not what is a valve state

what is a transtube ?

i know solid state and full tube but whats those 2 mentioned above ?

i check online , but cant find anything

yes, they are technically similar. both technologies employ a tube in the pre-amp section while the power section remains to be solid state. each manufacturer has their own labelling for legal reasons.

Laney has their Tube-Fusion, as above.

yeah, means that theres a tube in the preamp. but there are non full-tube units with a tube in the POWER amp section.

just get a full tube 1-5 watt amp.
5 watts probably too loud though. but rmb that a general rule of thumb is that when you double the amp's wattage (assuming same tubes etc), just doubling the number of power tubes i believe, only increases the volume by 3dB. headroom is affected more. take for example the 50 and 100 watt marshalls.

I dont think my Peavey Rage 158 with "Transtube" has a tube in the preamp though. But i may be wrong, i havent seen the inner guts yet.

Transtube >>> Peavey's exclusive, patented TransTube technology emulates the sound of tube amplifiers with the convenience and reliability of solid-state design. The TransTube preamp tailors the gain level for the desired amount of drive, and the power amp responds to the preamp with natural compression that increases with the amp's volume. The result is a line of amplifiers with widely ranging dynamics and natural "grit" like a tube amp.
