I've got no problem with the music...

...but the whole satanic imagery is pretty tired, cliched and corny. Grown men in makeup and spikey leather pants isn't scary and intimidating...it's sad and pathetic.

I mean honestly look at this guy, does he look sad because he couldn't get into S&M night at the gay bar?

Black Sabbath, who started it all, were inspired by Hammer Horror films. Hammer was considered scary at the time but these days it would make you laugh. Horror films and their audiences have become much more sophisticated since then. I'd like to metal bands taking some inspiration contemporary horror films instead of slavishly adhering to worn out cliches. That way they actually be scary instead of looking like the biker from the Village people.

haah...on a more serious note, you are gonna start another round of exchange here. never thought this would stretch into 10 pages, but unblack or black, its still metal. as fluxus commented, and as can be reasonably assumed amongst most people on this board, its hard (if not almost impossible) to tell the difference between them. so lets be a bit more open and keep this to metal music, and keep the musical/ religious flaming & insults out of the board please.
