Chill out, guys... There's a lot of factors to consider.

The early Christian metal bands weren't too good because their music seemed too 'happy', like some of Mortification albums, maybe that is why most metalheads won't really go there, including Christian metalheads. Now, most people associate Christian metal with metalcore because for some reason there's a ton of Christian metalcore bands.

And these Christian metalcore bands somehow overshadow those bands that are playing Christian death metal, black metal, etc. Bands like Pantokrator, Antestor, Crimson Moonlight, Crimson Thorn, etc. I think these unknown bands need more exposure, then maybe some minds will be changed, but obviously a Satanist or Anti-Christ isn't going to bother with Unblack metal, same as Christians usually won't bother with Satanic music.

Not saying that those who oppose unblack metal are Satanists, though. Just saying that these unknown bands deserve a chance. To be honest, when I first heard them, I had no idea they were Christian bands.
 
why unblack? why don't just call it white for goodness sakes? does unblack make it sound more hardcore? unblack isn't even a verb. is unblack metal christian metal? if so, why don't just call it christian black metal, like christian rock and christian rap artists do?

do unblack metallers wear proper makeup as opposed to black metallers wear corpse paint?

I realize that I don't call it unblack metal. I call it Christian black metal, simple as that. I don't see any reason to be ashamed of Jesus. And from what I know, Christian black metallers use the same corpsepaint and spikes, and some of them actually do sound pretty damn evil...

Personally I don't like black metal to be religious, but epic, atmospheric and on the overall, dark. Enslaved, anyone? Oops, off-topic! :mrgreen:

i think unblack metal is a oxymoron / iron itself. shouldn't worship be in a orderly fashion?

anyway, have you ever wondered why they are so many anti-christ bands out there but not as many anti-buddhist/muslim/hindu etc. bands?
