i was kinda amazed how much different the ts7 sounded when i played it thru my tube amp, had this really nice smooth overdrive compared when plugged into a solid state. The mid bump helps when it comes to leads/solos too coz i scoop my mids a lil for chugga-chugga rhythms.

As part of a pedal setup into a clean solid state amp, i place the ts after the distortion unit, which makes a nice boost for leads.

then what's ur primary source of overdrive?

i have the jnh and i love the ts channel. it's good for blues lead. i love the thick mashy sound when played with chords. some dont like, but i do. hehe.

my main drive source is the amp's... either that or another pedal.

since you are enjoying the J&H tremendously, it's easy to see why the tubescreamer don't do you any good.

uhmmm.... think you have to juxtaposed it yourself cos I don't own the other 2 pedals.

never ask the builder how his pedal will fare when compared with the others... He'll tell you his is always the BEST! :lol: :twisted:

Mmm thats true, personally the Fireball 3 sound clip was pretty mind blowing but I'm not sure if its the best that I can get for that price..I shall continue on my quest for the ultimate overdriven tone..

After reading this,i came up with a conclusion that a ts9 without tube amp is not as good as one with tube amp? Well thats my opinion,hope u guys will help enlighten me.And can ts9 be use with a fuzz pedal?thanks
